Who are you?

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science/information systems or equivalent.
• 4+ years of software development experience with either Java or Scala. Familiarity with both is a plus.
• Data structures and messaging technologies are your playground, and frameworks are your tools of choice.
• You’re a citizen of the cloud, fluent in RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, SOA, and microservices architectures.
• AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) holds no secrets, and Docker is your trusted sidekick.
• Bonus: Experience with Apache Iceberg.
• CI/CD is your mantra, with GitLab your preferred language.
• Can write Linux/Unix shell scripts fluently.

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Traffic team, you will work self‑sustained in an agile team. Traffic services enable the creation of mapping products that are highly available, performant, and near real‑time. The Senior Software Engineer will be a contributor on the team to deliver digital traffic data to major automakers, for e.g. BMWs, VWs, Audi, Daimler. You will work on a technology to collect and process road information from many sources, terabytes of data, including car sensors from millions of cars on the road. Our services convert this input into a digital map delivered back to the cars and used for navigation, driver assistance, and even autonomous driving.
