Job summary

Aravinda Infra is seeking a Sr. Site Engineer to supervise and coordinate EPC site execution for ongoing infrastructure projects in India. You will ensure work aligns with approved drawings, specs, quality, safety, and schedules to achieve timely completion.

The role requires strong coordination with Project Manager, field engineers, subcontractors, and procurement teams; proficiency in reading drawings and BOQ; and hands-on management of safety and quality at site.

Qualifications

Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical engineering as required by project.
Experience in EPC infrastructure construction projects.
Ability to read drawings and specifications; MS Office knowledge.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage day-to-day site execution activities per project requirements.
Coordinate with Project Manager, subcontractors, vendors and other departments for smooth execution.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, specifications and technical documents.
Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed within timelines.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and technically sound Sr. Site Engineer to supervise and coordinate site execution activities for our ongoing EPC infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely execution of work as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage day-to-day site execution activities as per project requirements.
Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ and method statements.
Coordinate with Project Manager, Site Engineers, subcontractors, vendors and other departments for smooth project execution.
Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed within the stipulated timelines.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, specifications and technical documents.
Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, tools and equipment at site.
Monitor the quality of work and ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and project specifications.
Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspections, testing and rectification of quality issues.
Coordinate with the Safety team to ensure compliance with all site safety procedures and statutory requirements.
Identify site issues, technical constraints and execution challenges and elevate them to the Project Manager Project Head.
Maintain daily progress reports, site records, measurement sheets and other project documentation.
Coordinate with subcontractors for manpower deployment, work planning and execution.
Verify quantities and measurements of completed work and coordinate with the concerned team for billing.
Monitor material requirements and coordinate with the Store Procurement team to avoid delays due to material shortages.
Conduct regular site inspections and ensure proper housekeeping and work discipline.
Ensure proper handover of completed work as per project requirements.
Participate in site meetings and provide updates regarding progress, manpower, material and technical issues.
Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling and monitoring project activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies, project procedures and client requirements.
Perform any other project-related duties assigned by the Project Manager Project Head.

Required Qualifications

Diploma B.E. B.Tech in Electrical relevant Engineering discipline, depending on project requirement.
Relevant professional experience in EPC infrastructure construction projects.
Strong knowledge of site execution and project coordination.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Good knowledge of MS Office and relevant engineering/site documentation.
Knowledge of project planning, measurements, BOQ and billing will be an added advantage.

Experience

Preferred Experience: 5 to 10 years of relevant site experience in EPC Infrastructure Power Distribution Electrification projects.

Priority will be given to candidates who have prior hands-on experience in RDSS (Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme) projects, particularly in site execution, supervision, distribution network works, electrification, installation, testing & commissioning, and coordination with DISCOMs clients consultants.

Candidates who have previously worked on RDSS projects with DISCOMs and have practical exposure to project execution, field coordination, material management, contractor/subcontractor management, quality and safety compliance, measurements and project documentation will be highly preferred.
