This is a role with strategic oversight and team-level accountability — the specialist operates with limited guidance, manages ambiguity independently, drives data integrity, and influences cross-functional stakeholders to safeguard employee and customer experience.

This role is ideal for someone ready to move beyond individual task execution into leading reconciliation frameworks, mentoring team members, driving process improvements, and representing the team in leadership and stakeholder forums.

Metrics, Analysis & Problem Resolution
  • Own the accuracy and validation of team metrics (volume, pre-defect accuracy)
  • Review consolidated metrics to identify top issues requiring stakeholder attention
  • Analyze defect trends to determine root causes and top defect drivers
  • Identify long-term solutions (system fixes, process redesigns) as well as short-term workarounds, prioritizing by business impact
Stakeholder Management & Representation
  • Represent the team in public forums, leadership meetings (WBR/QBR), and cross-functional discussions
  • Present findings, recommendations, and status updates to leadership and partner teams
  • Negotiate timelines and requirements with Benefits Managers, vendors, and technical teams
  • Escalate critical issues and drive resolution through appropriate channels
Automation & Process Improvement
  • Identify automation opportunities (including AI-enabled tooling) to eliminate manual effort and improve efficiency
  • Partner with technical teams on requirements, conduct UAT, and lead launch activities for new automations
Complex Reconciliation Leadership
  • Lead reconciliation launches for high-complexity countries involving multiple benefits, large populations, and intricate regulations
  • Handle escalations and respond to executive-level inquiries
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses for discrepancies with significant financial or compliance impact
  • Design reconciliation frameworks and quality checkpoints for new processes
Knowledge Management
  • Serve as subject matter expert for reconciliation processes
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for new hires and team members
  • Document process improvements and maintain updated SOPs; share best practices across the team
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, HR or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in reconciliation, audit, payroll, benefits operations, or a related data-driven operations function
  • Experience in a global benefits, payroll, or HR shared-services environment supporting multiple countries/regions
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end reconciliation or audit processes across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data validation) and data analysis
  • Proven ability to work with large data sets, identify discrepancies, and perform root cause analysis
  • Experience working directly with internal and external stakeholders (vendors, partner teams, leadership)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to varied audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver with limited guidance
  • Experience designing or improving reconciliation frameworks, quality checkpoints, or audit mechanisms
  • Experience leading new process/country launches or managing high-complexity, high-visibility initiatives
