Job summary

Elite HR Services in Gujarat seeks a procurement specialist to source ABS/HDPE/PP granules, EPS beads, polycarbonate sheets, foam padding, and other components. You will identify reliable suppliers, negotiate terms, and coordinate with PPC to align with production schedules.

You will ensure BIS/ISI specs, maintain vendor data, manage import documents, and drive corrective actions for supplier issues while maintaining optimal inventory and GST compliance.

Qualifications

• Source and procure ABS/HDPE/PP granules, EPS beads, polycarbonate sheets, foam padding, chin straps, buckles and packaging materials.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers, prioritizing KhedaAhmedabad belt and national vendors.
• Negotiate pricing, credit terms and rate contracts; monitor price trends for forward buying.
• Raise, track and expedite purchase orders aligned with PPC production schedule.
• Coordinate with QC/QA to ensure BIS/ISI material specs before acceptance.
• Maintain vendor master, approved vendor list, rate contracts and supplier scorecards.
• Manage import documentation and customs for materials sourced outside India.
• Resolve quality, quantity or delivery disputes; drive corrective actions.
• Maintain optimum raw-material inventory with stores; avoid production stoppages.
• Ensure compliance with GST, e-way bill and audit trails.

Role:

• Source and procure raw materials and components: ABS/HDPE/PP granules (outer shell), EPS beads (inner liner), polycarbonate sheets (visor), foam padding, chin straps, buckles, rivets, and packaging materials.


• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers, prioritizing the KhedaAhmedabad industrial belt where feasible, alongside national vendors.


• Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and rate contracts to control input costs, tracking resin/plastic price trends (crude-oil linked) to advise on forward buying.


• Raise, track, and expedite purchase orders in line with the production schedule shared by the PPC team.


• Coordinate with QC/QA to ensure incoming materials meet BIS/ISI (IS 4151) raw-material specifications before acceptance.


• Maintain vendor master data, approved vendor list, rate contracts, and supplier performance scorecards.


• Manage import documentation and customs coordination for any materials sourced outside India.


• Resolve quality, quantity, or delivery disputes with vendors; drive corrective action on repeat issues.


• Maintain optimum raw-material inventory levels in coordination with stores to avoid production stoppages or excess working capital lock-in.


• Ensure purchase activity complies with company policy and statutory requirements (GST, e-way bill, purchase audit trail)

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Plastics Engineering, Supply Chain, or Commerce; diploma holders with relevant experience also considered.


• 2 to 5 years of procurement experience, ideally in plastics, injection molding, automotive components, or two-wheeler accessories.


• Working knowledge of ERP/purchase systems (SAP B1 must) and MS Excel.


• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and follow-up skills.
