Job summary

Trimasys Control Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Proposal & Estimation Engineer for BMS, HVAC & ELV projects in Pune. You will manage techno-commercial proposal preparation, estimation, tendering, BOQ/BOM preparation, and solution development for building automation and ELV systems.

The role requires strong technical understanding of BMS/HVAC Controls and ELV systems, with hands-on experience in estimation, costing, tender documentation, and client/OEM coordination.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Proposal Engineering/Estimation for BMS/HVAC/ELV projects.
• Strong understanding of BMS/HVAC control systems and ELV subsystems.
• Hands-on experience in BOQ/BOM, estimation, tendering, and techno-commercial proposals.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, tender documents, BOQs, and drawings to define project scope.
• Prepare techno-commercial proposals, quotations, and bid submissions.
• Develop detailed BOQs, BOMs, cost estimates, and pricing sheets.
• Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and internal teams for inputs and clarifications.
• Obtain vendor quotations and negotiate competitive pricing.
• Prepare technical submittals and compliance statements.
• Support pre-bid meetings, client discussions, and negotiations.
• Ensure timely submission of accurate proposals and maintain records.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Proposal & Estimation Engineer BMS, HVAC & ELV to manage techno-commercial proposal preparation, estimation, tendering, BOQ/BOM preparation, and solution development for building automation and ELV projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical understanding of BMS/HVAC Controls and ELV systems, along with hands‑on experience in estimation, costing, tender documentation, and client/OEM coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze RFQs, tender documents, BOQs, technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
• Prepare techno-commercial proposals, quotations, tender submissions, and bid documentation.
• Develop detailed BOQs, BOMs, cost estimates, pricing sheets, and commercial offers.
• Prepare technical and commercial solutions for:
  • Building Management System (BMS)
  • HVAC Automation & Controls
  • CCTV / Video Surveillance
  • Access Control
  • Fire Alarm System (FAS)
  • Public Address / Voice Evacuation Systems
  • Other ELV systems as required.
• Review architectural, electrical, HVAC, MEP, and ELV drawings to identify project requirements and scope.
• Develop system architecture, equipment selections, quantity take-offs, and technical compliance statements.
• Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, suppliers, consultants, and internal engineering/project teams for technical and commercial inputs.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor/OEM quotations and negotiate for competitive project pricing.
• Prepare technical submittals, compliance statements, scope of work, exclusions, deviations, and clarifications.
• Participate in pre‑bid meetings, client discussions, technical clarifications, and negotiations.
• Support the sales/business development team in understanding project requirements and developing appropriate solutions.
• Ensure proposals are technically compliant, commercially competitive, accurate, and submitted within timelines.
• Maintain estimation templates, vendor databases, pricing information, and proposal records.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in Proposal Engineering / Estimation / Pre‑Sales for BMS, HVAC Automation, Building Automation, or ELV projects.
• Strong understanding of BMS and HVAC control systems.
• Good knowledge of ELV systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, PA/Voice Evacuation, etc.
• Hands‑on experience in BOQ/BOM preparation, estimation, costing, tendering, and techno-commercial proposals.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, HVAC/MEP drawings, electrical drawings, and tender documents.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel for estimation, costing, and pricing.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical, estimation, documentation, and coordination skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently handle proposals from RFQ review through final submission.
