SCHAEFFLER GLOBAL SERVICES INDIA PVT LTD is seeking a Sr Platform Engineer for AI Automation Services in Pune to build and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using IaC and modern DevOps practices. This role emphasizes automation, secure connectivity, and proactive performance management.

You will design CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with vendors, and contribute to disaster recovery and security compliance efforts while working in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in (business) informatics or equivalent with relevant professional experience.
• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with Terraform and CI/CD technologies (Jenkins or GitHub Actions).
• Experience with Python scripting.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for AI platforms using IaC (Terraform, Python).
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure platforms.
• Automate operational tasks and provide self-service solutions for internal customers.
• Establish logging, monitoring and alerting systems in cloud environments.
• Take technical responsibility for applications across the life cycle within a DevOps team.
• Collaborate with external software vendors to manage and maintain IT systems.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical apps and infra.
• Ensure security policy compliance with security and compliance teams.

Formal prerequisites for the position (e.g. training, experience, education etc.)

• University degree in (business) informatics or alternative training with relevant professional experience in this field
• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in this field
• Strong automation and infrastructure as code mindset backed by proven experience in using Terraform and CI/CD technologies like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Experience with at least one additional scripting programming language such as Python
• Used DevOps workflows for infrastructure management and automated incident response before
• Hands‑on experience working with managed cloud services (AWS or Azure), including compute, storage, databases, and AI services
• Profound knowledge about common patterns for secure service‑to‑service connectivity and modern authentication protocols
• Developed and maintained common monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions in cloud environments
• Experience with installing, configuring and maintaining third party software in secured and enterprise ready private cloud environments
• Sound knowledge about latest AI technology, like AI Agents, in combination with AI process automation is a plus
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Ability and willingness to take responsibility for services
• Strong hands‑on attitude combined with good analytical skills
• Ability to learn new technologies and skills (T‑Shape philosophy)
• Proficiency in agile methodologies, with experience working effectively within agile teams and environments, fostering an agile mindset in daily work

• Build and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure for AI platforms with IaC (Terraform, Python, …)
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure platforms
• Automate operational efforts and establish self‑service solutions for internal customers
• Establish and maintain logging, monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve performance issues
• Taking on the technical responsibility of applications throughout the life cycle as part of a DevOps team
• Close collaboration with external software vendors for managing, developing, and maintaining IT systems
• Build and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for mission‑critical applications and infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with security policies and standards, working with security and compliance teams as necessary
