Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking a PeopleSoft Techno Functional Consultant with 10+ years of experience to join our Pune-based team. You will bridge functional business needs with technical design and participate in upgrade support projects.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, analyze requirements, develop design documents, and support UAT and production issues across HCM modules and integration interfaces. Strong knowledge of PeopleCode, AE, CI, REST/SOAP, SQR, BI Publisher, PS Query and reporting

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands on PeopleSoft Techno Functional experience, at least one full cycle of PeopleSoft/PeopleTools upgrade project.
• Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft/PeopleTools architecture and development stack (PeopleCode, SQR, AE, CI, Integration Broker).
• Experience in upgrade support, production support and working with business users and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into functional and technical designs.
• Provide functional support for PeopleSoft HCM modules (Core HR, ESS, MSS, Absence Management, ELM).
• Perform fit gap analysis, impact analysis, and solution design.
• Understand FDD/BRD/FS documents and contribute to design and specs.
• Support UAT, defect resolution, and production issue analysis.

Job Description

We are seeking a PeopleSoft Techno Functional Consultant with 10+ years of experience, who is worked in at least one full cycle of PeopleSoft/PeopleTool upgrade support project. The ideal candidate will have a strong balance of functional knowledge and technical development skills, and the ability to work closely with business users and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional and technical designs
• Provide functional support for PeopleSoft modules such as:
  • HCM (Core HR, ESS, MSS, Absence Management, ELM)
• Perform fit gap analysis, impact analysis, and solution design
• To be able to understand
  • Functional Design Documents (FDD)
  • Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
  • Functional Specifications (FS)
• Support UAT, defect resolution, and production issue analysis

Technical Responsibilities

• Work on PeopleSoft Applications using:
  • PeopleCode / PeopleTools
  • Application Engine (AE)
  • Component Interfaces (CI)
  • File Layouts
  • Integration Broker ( Preferably having knowledge in REST / SOAP APIs , webservices)
• Work on reporting solutions using:
  • SQR
  • XML Publisher / BI Publisher
  • PS Query
• Ability to Run compare reports to migrate the projects from source to target environment.
• Provide Impact Analysis, based on the changes to be performed on PeopleSoft objects.

Required Skills

Mandatory

• 10+ years of hands on PeopleSoft Techno Functional experience at lease worked in one full Cycle of PeopleSoft/PeopleTools upgrade project.
• Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft/PeopleTools architecture
  Proficiency in PeopleCode, SQR, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker ( REST/SOAP APIs) , webservices.
• Experience working in PeopleSoft/PeopleTools upgrade Support and production support environments
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Client facing experience preferred
• Willingness to provide production support when required.
