Job summary

Inventa Digital Technologies in Mumbai, India is seeking a network engineering professional to design, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise routing, switching, and SD-WAN environments.

The role focuses on routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), high availability, QoS for real-time apps, firewall administration, and secure remote access. Candidates should be hands-on with Nexus/VPC, IPsec/SSLVPN, and Wireshark analysis, with the ability to lead complex troubleshooting and document architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, configuration & troubleshooting exposure of enterprise Routing, Switching & SDWAN technologies.
• Routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) & Switching technologies like RSTP, MST, vPC (Nexus) design & troubleshooting.
• Multicast networks design, configuration & troubleshooting.
• Design, configuration and troubleshooting of L2 protocols, port-channel, trunk, VLANs, VTP etc.
• Experience in high availability through protocols such as HSRP, VRRP, GLBP.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI models, and IP SLA concepts.
• Configuration, monitoring & troubleshooting of networking devices (Switches, Routers of leading OEMs like CISCO, HP, Arista etc.).
• Implement QoS policies for voice, video, and mission‑critical applications.
• Administer and support firewall devices (Fortigate, Checkpoint, PaloAlto), security policies, NAT, VPNs, SW upgradation, HA.
• Understand and analyze Wireshark captures.
• Work on Nexus switches with exposure to VPC deployment, upgradation and configuration.
• Troubleshoot IPSEC, GETVPN and SSLVPN technologies irrespective of the vendor deployment.
• Resolve calls/incidents related to all network issues within defined timelines.
• Design and document complex network architectures (HLD/LLD), diagrams.
• Act as an escalation point for complex network issues unresolved by L1/L2 support teams.
• Familiarity with security appliances and practices for data‑centre applications.
• Work independently and lead complex troubleshooting efforts.
