Job summary

Topgear Consultants in Mysuru seeks a Sr. Manager - Raw Material Planning for an Aerospace Manufacturing environment to ensure timely availability of raw materials, production order release, inventory control, and capacity planning.

The role interfaces with Production, Procurement, Stores, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure uninterrupted operations and on-time deliveries. Ten-plus years in relevant roles and a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering

Qualifications

• Develop and manage Master Material Schedules aligned with customer demand and production capacity.
• Ensure raw material availability, full kit readiness, and line-side material supply.
• Perform MRP planning, material shortage analysis, and rescheduling activities.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Stores & Engineering for BOM accuracy and material availability.
• Manage production order creation, release, confirmation, and closure through SAP.
• Monitor inventory levels, WIP status, and material utilization.
• Drive PPC KPIs including OTD, schedule adherence, inventory accuracy, and WIP control.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and aerospace customer requirements.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Manager - Raw Material Planning for an Aerospace Manufacturing environment. The role will be responsible for ensuring timely availability of raw materials, production order release, inventory control, capacity planning, and smooth execution of manufacturing schedules.

The position will act as a key interface between Production, Procurement, Stores, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations and on-time customer deliveries.

• Hands-on experience with SAP PP/MM modules.
• Knowledge of MRP, BOM, Routing, Capacity Planning & Inventory Management.
• Experience in Aerospace / Defence manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of Machining, Fabrication, Assembly & Build-to-Print environments.
• Strong analytical skills and cross-functional coordination ability.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, MIS Reporting).

Preferred Experience:

• Aerospace components manufacturing (Hoses, Tubes, Ducts, Tie-Rods, Sheet Metal Assemblies).
• Experience working with AS9100 quality systems.
• Exposure to defence/space customer programs.
