Job summary

Pluugin Ecommerce in India Delhi NCR is seeking an experienced head of accounting and finance for its ecommerce division. You will oversee all accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, manage internal controls, and guide business decisions with sound financial analysis.

The role requires extensive ecommerce accounting experience, strong supervisory skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to support growth and compliance across taxes and GST.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CA/ICWA preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory experience.
• Strong MS Excel and accounting software proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee accounting and finance for ecommerce division.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting with internal controls.
• Reconcile ecommerce transactions: commissions, shipping, marketing.
• Coordinate with external auditors for year-end close.

Location : India Delhi NCR

• Will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accounting and finance department for the company's e-commerce division.
• Will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, maintain proper internal controls, and provide financial guidance and support for business decision making.
• Managing e-commerce accounting, including reconciling transactions and booking invoices for commission, shipping, and marketing expenses.
• Handling marketplace reconciliation, including reconciling transactions and checking all the expenses like commission, shipping, and marketing expenses on marketplaces like Flipkart and Amazon etc.
• Responsible for day-to-day oversight of the companies' tax affairs and compliance including new tax requirements and jurisdictions
• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, taxes and GST.
• Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
• Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
• Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
• Collaborate with management on development and execution of funding strategies
• Examine financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable financial principles
• Develop or recommend solutions for problems or situations
• Analyses revenue, expenses, cash flows, and balance sheets.
• Assists management to make financial decisions.
• Maintains an accurate filing and record keeping system for all financial statements and company documents.
• Participates in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business.

Requirements And Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CA / ICWA will be preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases Knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.
