Job summary

Tractebel is seeking a Senior Secondary Side Electrical Design Engineer – Detail Engineering to lead complex electrical design for energy and process industry projects. You will collaborate with global teams, ensuring protection, control, interlocking, and monitoring schemes meet international standards.

You will develop protection philosophies, design relay schematics, and manage interfaces with DCS/PLC/SCADA/ESD systems while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of experience in engineering consulting or EPCM environments.
• Experience in FEED and Detail Engineering for Oil & Gas or Energy projects.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and API standards for electrical protection and control systems.
• Experience with hazardous area design and intrinsic safety.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

What You Bring

• Proven expertise in FEED and Detail Engineering for Oil & Gas or Energy sector projects.
• Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and API standards for electrical protection and control systems.
• Hands‑on experience with relay coordination, control schematics, and system interface design.
• Familiarity with hazardous area design and intrinsic safety principles.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
