JobItUs in Mumbai, Maharashtra, seeks an experienced legal professional to manage documentation for lending-related matters, draft and negotiate key contracts, and provide advisory support on compliance and risk mitigation.

The role requires attention to detail, strong drafting skills, and an understanding of litigation. You will liaise with external law firms and internal teams to ensure regulatory alignment and effective risk management.

Qualifications

• Experience in legal documentation including security creation and handling non-litigation matters in lending business.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts: Facility Agreement, Mortgage Documents, Pledge, POA, DOH, MOUs, NDA, Legal Notices, Term Sheets.
• Offer legal advice on compliance and risk mitigation.
• Scrutinize agreements and security documents for compliance with laws and regulations.
• Identify and mitigate potential legal risks.
• Understanding of litigation.
• Liaise with external law firms and internal departments.
• Participate in negotiations with clients per internal requirements and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Candidate should have experience in legal documentation including security creation and handling non-litigation matters in respect of lending business.
• - Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including but not limited to Facility Agreement, Mortgage Documents, Pledge Agreement, POA, DOH, MOUs, NDA, Legal Notices, Term Sheets,
• - Advisory Role: Offer legal advice on various issues related to the company's business, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
• - Document Scrutiny: Scrutinize and advise on agreements, security documents, and other legal documents, ensuring they are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
• - Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and provide solutions to mitigate these risks effectively.
• - Candidates must have an understanding of litigation.
• - Coordinating and liaison with external law firms and various internal cross-functional departments of the Company.
• - Participate in negotiations with the clients in conformance with internal requirements, risk identification and mitigation and handing of customer queries.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• - Knowledge of Laws: General corporate laws including Contract Act, Companies Act,
• - Securities Laws, and Transfer of Property Act, Stamp Act, Real Estate Laws.
• - Analytical Skills: Possess an analytical mind with the ability to identify and mitigate risks, offering practical and effective solutions.
• - Drafting Skills: Excellent drafting skills, ensuring all legal documents are precise and accurate.
• - Detail-Oriented: Maintain a high level of attention to detail aiming for 'first time right' execution; to ensure accuracy and compliance in all legal documents and processes.
