Job summary

AimsHR in Mumbai seeks a diligent Legal Counsel to handle non-litigation matters for lending business. You will draft, review and negotiate contracts, ensure regulatory compliance, and mitigate risks across diverse lending-related documents.

The role involves advising on securities, real estate, and corporate law, scrutinizing documents for accuracy, and coordinating with external law firms and internal teams to resolve client queries while maintaining first-time-right quality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general corporate laws including Contract Act, Companies Act, securities laws, Transfer of Property Act, Stamp Act and Real Estate Laws.
• Analytical mind with ability to identify and mitigate risks and offer practical solutions.
• Excellent drafting skills ensuring precision and accuracy in legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Experience in legal documentation including security creation and handling non-litigation matters for lending business.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts such as Facility Agreements, Mortgage Documents, Pledge Agreements, POA, DOH, MOUs, NDA and Term Sheets.
• Offer legal advisory to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Scrutinize agreements and security documents for regulatory compliance.
• Identify potential legal risks and provide mitigation solutions.
• Understand litigation concepts to liaise effectively with internal teams.
• Coordinate with external law firms and internal cross-functional departments.
• Participate in client negotiations aligning with internal requirements and risk controls.

• - Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including but not limited to Facility Agreement, Mortgage Documents, Pledge Agreement, POA, DOH, MOUs, NDA, Legal Notices, Term Sheets,
• - Advisory Role: Offer legal advice on various issues related to the company's business, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
• - Document Scrutiny: Scrutinize and advise on agreements, security documents, and other legal documents, ensuring they are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
• - Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and provide solutions to mitigate these risks effectively.
• - Candidates must have an understanding of litigation.
• - Coordinating and liaison with external law firms and various internal cross-functional departments of the Company.
• - Participate in negotiations with the clients in conformance with internal requirements, risk identification and mitigation and handing of customer queries.
