Job summary

AirLife Gases Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Safety Manager to lead safety activities across all depots in India. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with gas cylinder rules and factory act requirements while implementing HSE policies.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of industrial gas handling and possession of ADIS certification. This role will involve overseeing ISO documentation, conducting safety audits, and requires willingness to travel extensively across India.

Job description

• Lead and coordinate safety activities across all depots PAN India.
• Ensure strict compliance with statutory regulations including:
  • Gas Cylinder Rules
  • PESO guidelines
  • Factory Act requirements
  • OISD standards (where applicable)
• Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures across all facilities.
• Conduct periodic safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification studies.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and transfill operations of Helium and Industrial Gases.
• ISO & Documentation
• Maintain and improve ISO systems (ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 as applicable).
• Ensure proper documentation, SOP implementation, and audit readiness.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and closure of audit observations.
• Conduct safety training programs for depot staff.
• Drive safety culture initiatives and toolbox talks.
• Develop emergency response plans and conduct mock drills.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Prepare and present safety performance reports to management.
• Operational Coordination
• Support depot heads in ensuring safe transfill operations.
• Standardize safety practices across locations.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections.

Qualification and Requirments

• Strong knowledge of industrial gas handling and transfill operations.
• In-depth understanding of statutory safety regulations.
• ADIS certified Safety Professional.
• Experience in ISO documentation and audit management.
• Strong leadership and multi‑location coordination skills.
• Good analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across India.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in Helium or Industrial Gas companies.
• Exposure to bulk gas storage, cylinder filling, and transport safety.
