Job summary

Ahluwalia Contracts in Delhi seeks a Civil Engineer with QA/QC experience for high-rise residential/commercial projects. You will conduct site inspections, verify drawings, specifications, ITPs, and quality records, and coordinate with site teams.

The role requires ensuring compliance with IS/BS/ASTM standards, preparing quality dossiers, and supporting project handover with thorough snagging and final inspections.

Qualifications

• QA/QC experience on high-rise residential or commercial building projects.
• Preferably with a main contractor and as part of QA/QC teams.
• Strong ability to review drawings, specifications, ITPs and test reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections for RCC, reinforcement, shuttering/formwork, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, tiling, painting and finishing works.
• Ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, checklists and applicable standards.
• Conduct pre-pour and post-pour inspections and monitor concrete quality including slump test and cube test.
• Check reinforcement for bar size, spacing, lap length and anchorage.
• Inspect formwork for line, level, alignment and dimensions.
• Carry out material inspection and verify MTCs, test certificates and approved materials.
• Raise and coordinate IR/WIR with consultants/client representatives and ensure timely approvals.
• Identify NCRs, defects and quality deviations and ensure corrective actions and closure.
• Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, consultants, client and testing laboratories for quality-related activities.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection reports and quality records.
• Monitor subcontractor workmanship and ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Conduct snagging/de-snagging and final quality inspections.
• Support preparation of quality dossiers and project handover documents.
• Ensure continuous improvement and adherence to quality, safety and construction standards.
