Job summary

Weekday AI (YC W21) in Hyderabad, India, is seeking a Senior M365 Engineer with 8–15 years of experience to design, implement, administer, and optimize Microsoft 365 environments. You will work across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Entra ID to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

You will partner with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure availability, performance, and compliance, while automating tasks with PowerShell and driving modernization

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of relevant experience in Microsoft 365 administration, cloud engineering, or enterprise IT.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong hands‑on experience with M365 workloads including security, identity, and collaboration services.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, administer, and maintain enterprise Microsoft 365 environments.
• Manage and optimize Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Entra ID.
• Develop and implement M365 architecture, migration, and modernization strategies.
• Manage identities, licenses, access policies, and governance across M365.
• Implement security controls, MFA, conditional access, and compliance capabilities.

• Troubleshoot complex issues, provide root‑cause analyses, and document procedures.

We are looking for an experienced Senior M365 Engineer with 8–15 years of experience to design, implement, administer, and optimize Microsoft 365 environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on expertise across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and a deep understanding of enterprise identity, security, collaboration, messaging, compliance, and endpoint management.

The role will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, performance, and reliability of Microsoft 365 services while supporting enterprise‑wide transformation and modernization initiatives. You will work closely with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams to deliver scalable and secure M365 solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, administer, and maintain enterprise Microsoft 365 environments.
• Manage and optimize Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Develop and implement Microsoft 365 architecture, migration, integration, and modernization strategies.
• Manage user identities, groups, roles, permissions, licenses, and access policies across the M365 environment.
• Implement and maintain security controls, conditional access policies, MFA, identity governance, and other Microsoft security capabilities.
• Monitor Microsoft 365 service health, performance, availability, and capacity while proactively resolving incidents and recurring issues.
• Support Exchange Online administration, mailbox management, mail flow, retention, and troubleshooting.
• Manage SharePoint and OneDrive permissions, site configurations, storage, sharing, and governance.
• Support Microsoft Teams administration, policies, collaboration settings, and enterprise adoption.
• Implement Microsoft 365 compliance, data protection, retention, eDiscovery, and auditing capabilities.

• Automate administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell and Microsoft 365 management tools.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide root‑cause analysis for production incidents.
• Create technical documentation, operational procedures, architecture documents, and knowledge articles.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure M365 environments meet organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in M365 migrations, upgrades, tenant consolidation, and large‑scale enterprise transformation projects.

Must‑Have Skills

• Microsoft 365
• Strong hands‑on experience administering and supporting enterprise M365 environments.
• Excellent knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 identity, access management, security, compliance, and governance.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 troubleshooting, monitoring, migrations, and service management.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Experience working with large‑scale enterprise environments and complex technical infrastructures.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.

Good‑to‑Have Skills

• MS‑102: Microsoft 365 Administrator
• MS‑500: Microsoft 365 Security Administration
• Microsoft certifications related to Microsoft 365, Azure, security, or identity.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, Intune, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 security hardening and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with automation and integration of Microsoft 365 services.

Experience

8–15 years of relevant experience in Microsoft infrastructure, Microsoft 365 administration, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or enterprise IT operations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
