Description

As a Sr. Learning Design Manager III within the Global Solutions Risk Compliance (GSRC) organization, this role leads a team of Learning Designs (LDs) while driving enterprise-wide learning strategies and solutions serving 3000+ employees across multiple sites in AMER, EMEA, and APAC. The role requires deep expertise in learning architecture, program management, people leadership, and the ability to influence across organizational boundaries while delivering measurable business impact through innovative learning solutions.

This leader manages, coaches, and develops a team of LDs — setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, conducting performance reviews, and fostering professional growth. They are responsible for building team capability, identifying skill gaps, and creating an environment where designers thrive, innovate, and deliver high-quality work. The role demands strong people judgment to hire, retain, and grow talent that can scale with the organization's evolving needs.

The role leads the end-to-end design and implementation of large-scale learning programs — including automated new hire learning paths, hands-on classification labs, and collaborative learning forums — that directly impact critical business metrics, including reduction in defects and increase in productivity. Working independently with Quality, Operations & Training Leaders, and STLs, this position develops comprehensive learning strategies aligned with organizational goals.

As a learning innovation leader, this role champions AI-powered learning platforms, adaptive learning pathways, and analytics-driven solutions that scale across the organization. They establish governance frameworks for learning management systems and implement data-driven mechanisms to measure learning effectiveness with clear ROI. The role provides strategic consultation to senior stakeholders, identifying learning needs through data analysis from multiple sources. It requires navigating significant ambiguity while making high-judgment decisions impacting both short-term operations and long-term objectives. Working at the intersection of technology, learning science, and business strategy, this role architects scalable solutions while maintaining trusted advisory relationships with global teams to deliver innovative learning experiences that support Amazon's Day 1 culture.
