Job summary

Emerson Pune is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer with 8–14 years in actuators, cylinders and valve domains to drive design, validation and documentation. You will develop 3D models, create drawings with GD&T, and support cost-reduction initiatives for cylinder products.

This role requires strong collaboration across global teams and adherence to safety and quality practices. The ideal candidate will have Creo (Expert), Windchill PDMLink proficiency, and hands-on experience with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in mechanical engineering with 8–14 years' relevant exposure to actuators, cylinders and valve domains.
• Knowledge of NFPA, ISO and FDA standards for cylinder product lines.
• Knowledge of elastomers used in cylinders.
• Proficiency with Creo (Expert) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Windchill PDMLink.
• Strong modelling and drafting practices.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and tolerance studies.
• Awareness of pneumatic solenoid valves and air preparation valves.
• Experience in machining, casting, forging, stamping or plastic molding desirable.
• Awareness of surface treatments like anodizing and nickel plating.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; good lateral thinking and problem solving.
• Respect for company values and ethics.

Job description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Understand Project / Work Scope, plan and deliver quality output / deliverables to meet the expected schedule and timeline

• Work on Customized Design and value engineering for cylinders, Actuators, Valves,

• Develop 3D solid models and assemblies.

• Complete the drawings along with tolerance study, GD&T, analysis of fits and clearances.

• Prepare engineering documentation including bill of material

• Support cost reduction and Rationalization Projects within Cylinder product line

• Ability to test the products in lab following safety practices and guidelines

• Contribute to EIC-Pune Assigned Initiatives

• Interact with other team members (global / locally) to meet and optimize product design requirements.

• Assume additional roles and responsibilities as required.

• Adherence to quality process. On time delivery & Quality of the deliverables

• Communicate and coordinate results with the team members

• Willingness to learn is critical

• Support various organizational initiatives like Innovation, Safety, Customer focus, processes etc.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Minimum bachelor’s in mechanical engineering having relevant exposure in actuators, cylinders andvalve domain with 8- 14 years

• Knowledge about various standards applicable to cylinder product line - NFPA, ISO, FDA etc

• Knowledge of elastomers used in cylinders

• Good knowledge about cylinder configurations - referencing catalog

• Software skills: Creo (Expert level), knows MS Office Software tools such Word, Excel & Power Point,

• Knowledge of Windchill PDMLink

• Knowledge of Strong modelling and drafting practices

• Working knowledge of GD&T, Tolerance Study and International Standards.

• Basic Knowledge of Pneumatically operated Solenoid operated direction control Valves, Air preparation valves,

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes like machining, casting, Forging, Stamping and plastic molding would be desirable

• Aware of surface treatment processes like anodizing, Nickel plating etc.

• Strong interpersonal skills and team working player.

• Good Lateral Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills
