Emerson in Maharashtra seeks a senior mechanical engineer with 8–14 years of experience in actuators, cylinders and valves to plan, design and deliver quality outputs on schedule. You will develop 3D solid models, prepare drawings with GD&T, and manage BOMs while supporting cost reduction initiatives.

You will collaborate with global teams, apply standards (NFPA, ISO, FDA), and contribute to continuous improvement, safety, and customer-focused engineering across the Cylinder product line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 8–14 years’ experience in actuators, cylinders and valves.
• Knowledge of NFPA, ISO, FDA and other standards for cylinder products.
• Familiar with elastomers used in cylinders.
• Experience with cylinder configurations and referencing catalogs.
• Proficient in Creo (Expert level) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Windchill PDMLink.
• Strong modelling and drafting practices; GD&T, tolerance study and international standards.
• Understanding of pneumatic solenoid valves and air preparation valves.
• Awareness of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, forging, stamping, plastic molding).
• Awareness of surface treatments (anodizing, nickel plating).
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork; good problem-solving.
• Respect company’s values and ethics.

• Contribute to EIC-Pune assigned initiatives.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Minimum bachelor’s in mechanical engineering having relevant exposure in actuators, cylinders andvalve domain with 8– 14 years
• Knowledge about various standards applicable to cylinder product line – NFPA, ISO, FDA etc
• Knowledge of elastomers used in cylinders
• Good knowledge about cylinder configurations – referencing catalog
• Software skills: Creo (Expert level), knows MS Office Software tools such Word, Excel & Power Point,
• Knowledge of Windchill PDMLink
• Knowledge of Strong modelling and drafting practices
• Working knowledge of GD&T, Tolerance Study and International Standards.
• Basic Knowledge of Pneumatically operated Solenoid operated direction control Valves, Air preparation valves,
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes like machining, casting, Forging, Stamping and plastic molding would be desirable
