Job summary

IFTAS - Indian Financial Technology & Allied Services is seeking a Production Support Engineer to oversee the Production Operations of SFMS applications in a 24/7 environment. The role requires both strong technical acumen and team leadership to manage delivery across shifts.

The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of experience in banking/payment systems, with MQ/AIX expertise, Windows/UNIX knowledge, and excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience as Production Support Engineer in payments or banking processes.
• Strong working knowledge in MQ/AIX and familiarity with Windows/UNIX (AIX/RHEL).
• Excellent communication, email etiquette, and ability to work in 24x7x365 shifts.

Job description

1. The candidate will be supporting the Production Operations of the SFMS applications.
2. The candidate should have team management skills, along with good technical acumen.

Education

• B.E/ B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA(Computer/IT)

Experience

1. Candidate should have strong 4-6 years of experience as Production Support Engineer, handling Payment System or Banking Processes.
2. Candidate should have good relevant technical experience with working knowledge in MQ/AIX.
3. Good communication skills, email etiquettes, with ability to work in all shifts (24x7x365)

Certifications

• IBM Certified System Administrator - MQ v8.0 or MQ v9.0, IBM Certified Solution Designer

Knowledge

1. Candidate should have good knowledge of Windows and any one of the UNIX environments (AIX/RHEL).
2. Proficient knowledge on banking domain is mandatory.
3. Should have good knowledge in any of the tools such as - Power HA, HMC, DLPAR activities, NIM, VIOS, Shell Scripting, Crontab, IBM Power Hardware and Cluster setup, in a large-scale enterprise environment.
4. Candidate should have understanding of NEFT, RTGS and trade messages like LC and BG's. The understanding should include good knowledge on message types and message structure.
5. Experience in application and solution design.
6. Knowledge of transaction management systems and database products.
7. Knowledge of Information Technology security concepts.
8. Knowledge of file transfer concepts.
9. Knowledge of High Availability concepts.
10. Knowledge and experience of basic programming concepts.
11. Understanding and Executing of the SQL Statements and Basics of Java
12. Candidate should have the good understanding of database, AWR reports and NMON reports
