Job summary

VCJ Designs, associated with DTC Group, seeks a Senior Interior Designer (2D) to manage residential, commercial and institutional interior projects in a 2D-focused role.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD, space planning, interior working drawings, material knowledge and coordination with execution teams to ensure seamless project handovers from concept to final delivery.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in residential, office or commercial interior design.
• Strong hands-on experience in AutoCAD and 2D working drawings is mandatory.
• Good understanding of space planning, materials, finishes and execution methodology.
• Experience coordinating with vendors, contractors and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D interior drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop space planning layouts, furniture placement plans and interior execution drawings.
• Prepare false ceiling layouts, flooring layouts, electrical coordination drawings and detailed interior drawings.
• Work on residential, office and building interior projects across varying scales.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, vendors, contractors and site execution teams.
• Review site measurements and modify drawings based on site conditions.
• Coordinate selection of materials, finishes, colours, lighting and specifications.
• Ensure design intent is properly translated during execution.
• Conduct site visits for coordination and quality review.
• Maintain proper drawing documentation and revisions.

About the Role:

VCJ Designs, associated with DTC Group, is looking for a skilled Senior Interior Designer (2D) for residential, commercial and institutional interior projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in AutoCAD, space planning, interior working drawings, material knowledge and coordination with execution teams.

The role requires a designer who understands complete interior project execution from concept development to final handover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed 2D interior drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop space planning layouts, furniture placement plans and interior execution drawings.
• Prepare false ceiling layouts, flooring layouts, electrical coordination drawings and detailed interior drawings.
• Work on residential, office and building interior projects across varying scales.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, vendors, contractors and site execution teams.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Experience with interior design studios, architecture firms or real estate developers.
• Exposure to residential apartments, offices, commercial spaces, clubhouses or building interior projects.
• Knowledge of BOQ, specifications and project coordination will be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of SketchUp or 3D tools will be an added advantage but not mandatory.

Note:

This is primarily a 2D Interior Designer role. Candidates should have strong experience in AutoCAD working drawings, space planning and complete interior projects.

Profiles limited only to modular kitchens, furniture designing, or 3D visualisation will not be preferred.
