Job summary

Interex Arch Designs Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Junior Interior Designer with 1–2 years of experience to support our design team in residential and commercial interior projects.

You will contribute to concepts, layouts, and detailed drawings with proficiency in interior design software. The role requires good knowledge of AutoCAD, sketch-up and 3ds Max; familiarity with Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus. You will develop mood boards, participate in presentations, and coordinate with execution teams

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in residential or commercial interior design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D software; strong sense of space and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
• Strong design sense with attention to detail; good communication and time management.
• Willing to visit project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior designers in developing interior design concepts and layouts.
• Prepare 2D floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings.
• Create 3D models and realistic renders per project requirements.
• Develop mood boards, material boards, colour schemes, and design presentations.
• Prepare working drawings and coordinate design details with the execution team.
• Assist in selecting materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and accessories.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and site teams when required.
• Conduct site visits and take measurements as required.
• Make design modifications based on client and senior designer feedback.
• Ensure drawings and designs are accurate and meet project requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation of drawings, designs, and project revisions.
• Stay updated with current interior design trends, materials, and finishes.

Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills:

• Working knowledge of SketchUp / 3ds Max / V-Ray / Lumion / Enscape or similar 3D software.
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of space planning, furniture layouts, materials, lighting, and colour combinations.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and technical drawings.
• Good creativity and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of interior execution and construction processes.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within deadlines.

Educational Qualification:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field.

Preferred Candidate:

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in residential or commercial interior design.
• Candidates with experience in turnkey interior projects will be preferred.
• Should be willing to visit project sites when required.
• Should have a good portfolio showcasing previous design work.
