Mac/iOS Endpoint Management Specialist - Jamf Expertise

We are looking for an experienced Mac/iOS Endpoint Management Specialist with 6+ years of experience in enterprise endpoint management, with strong expertise in Jamf Pro, Jamf Connect, Apple device management, and endpoint configuration. The role will be responsible for managing, securing, configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting macOS, iOS, and iPadOS devices across the enterprise environment. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience with Jamf Pro, Jamf Connect, Intune, Apple Business Manager, macOS/iOS configuration, software packaging, scripting, and user support. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with cross‑functional teams to support endpoint lifecycle management and deployment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage macOS security, configuration, compliance, and deployment policies using Jamf Pro or similar MDM platforms.
• Manage iOS and iPadOS security, configuration, compliance, and deployment policies using Intune or similar MDM platforms.
• Administer Jamf Pro and Jamf Connect for macOS device management, identity integration, enrollment, configuration, and policy deployment.
• Create, test, and deploy software packages using Jamf Composer and related packaging tools.
• Develop and maintain scripts using shell, Python, or other scripting languages to automate macOS administration tasks.
• Create and manage configuration profiles, enrollment configurations, payloads, and compliance policies for macOS, iOS, and iPadOS devices.
• Manage Apple Business Manager activities, including device assignments, MDM server configuration, app management, and release of devices.
• Troubleshoot macOS, iOS, and iPadOS configuration, enrollment, connectivity, application deployment, and user‑impacting issues.
• Support endpoint security, networking, compliance, and device management requirements across Apple platforms.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to test new deployments, evaluate new products, and support QA validation for endpoint changes.
• Support users using clear, simplified, and business‑friendly language.
• Maintain documentation, knowledge articles, process guides, and operational runbooks for Apple device management.

Required Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of experience in endpoint management, device administration, desktop engineering, or a related IT operations role.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Jamf Pro and Jamf Connect.
• Strong knowledge of macOS configuration, deployment, security policies, and troubleshooting.
• Experience managing iOS and iPadOS devices through Intune or similar MDM solutions.
• Experience creating configuration payloads, enrollment profiles, compliance policies, and device restrictions.
• Experience packaging software using Jamf Composer or similar packaging tools.
• Script experience with shell, Python, or similar languages for macOS automation and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Apple Business Manager, including device management, app assignment, MDM configuration, and device release processes.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across macOS, iOS, networking, security, and endpoint management.
• Basic understanding of testing and QA practices related to software packaging, deployment validation, and product evaluation.
• Ability to support technical and non‑technical users with clear communication.
• Strong general computing knowledge related to endpoints, networking, security, and device management.

Preferred Skills

• Jamf 300 certification or higher.
• Experience with Tanium or similar endpoint management platforms.
• Ability to navigate Tanium modules and extract relevant endpoint data.
• Experience creating and deploying Tanium packages, including deployment and core packages.
• Familiarity with Privilege Management tools, preferably BeyondTrust.
• Experience working in enterprise IT operations or endpoint engineering environments.
• Knowledge of endpoint security, compliance, vulnerability management, and device lifecycle processes.

Certifications

• Jamf 300 or higher.
• Additional certifications in Jamf, Apple, Microsoft Intune, Tanium, or endpoint security tools are a plus.
