Responsibilities

• Look after the welfare of the students.
• Visit rooms and check on students anytime.
• Verify stock and manage hostel properties.
• Supervise room allotment to deserving students as per guidelines.
• Promote and administer sports and cultural activities.
• Maintain hostel discipline.
• Monitor and permit guest visits.
• Ensure security, sanitation and essentials for students.
• Supervise housekeeping staff during daily cleaning.

About the role:

The Warden in a hostel is the principal authority to executive in all matters relating to resident students' welfare, their discipline and messing as well as the administration and security of the particular hostel. The Warden shall be responsible to the provost for the proper maintenance and management of the hostel and of its attached mess. He/ She would also supervise all matters concerning the functioning of the hostel and will also hold charge of one of the portfolios, normally Warden (Administration).

What you'll do:

• Able to look after the welfare of the students.
• Able to check the room and visit the students at any time.
• Able to verify the stock periodical and take care of all the hostel properties.
• Should supervise the allotment of rooms to deserving students as per guidelines
• To be able to promote and administer sports and cultural activities of inmates
• Should be able to maintain discipline of the hostel
• Should be able to monitor and permit guests to visit students
• Ensure adequate security, sanitation and essentials for students.
• Should supervise the housekeeping staff while they are cleaning the flats on a daily basis.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of a bachelors degree or equivalent
• Minimum 5 + years of experience is managing and leading a whole alternative school or a program
• Proven experience demonstrating strong instructional leadership and understanding of teaching and learning
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
