Job summary

Dynamicnext in India is seeking a Senior Game Designer to define game systems, rules, objectives, and user experiences for mobile titles. You will articulate design documents, guide cross-functional teams, and shape player journeys and interfaces.

You will work with developers, artists, QA, marketing and producers to balance content, lead tester training, review live operations, and ensure the game delivers a compelling F2P experience across platforms.

Job description

As a Senior Game Designer you will have to determine the structure of a game, which includes its rules, objectives, systems and features. You are required to communicate these game elements to various Production team members and provide the direction needed to deliver the intended user experience. You should conceive the game s overall user experience and interaction scenarios to design user journeys, as well as user interfaces. You are also required to train game testers to play the game, making sure that the game elements are balanced and that they understand what is expected of the finished product.

As a Senior Game Designer, you must be able to work closely with a vast team which includes game developers, backend developers, technical lead, artists, art director, QA, customer support, marketing and social media. You are expected to have a high level of industry experience and knowledge. We will be looking forward to seeing the portfolio of the projects that you have worked on.

Since Game development is an intricately woven process involving different teams, you should be able to communicate your feedback to different team members and also accept feedback on their work.

We will be evaluating whether you have a thorough understanding of F2P mobile gameplay. You should possess excellent communication and presentation skills as well as have narrative development skills. As a passionate GD, you are expected to possess excellent user interface design skills. As a strategic thinker you must display excellent imagination and creativity while being able to work both as part of a team and independently.

• Work with a vast team of disciplined professionals including Producers, Artists, Developers, Customer support. Marketing, Social media, and the respective Leads to drive the vision of Creative/ Game directors.
• Create and maintain level design documents which include game mechanics, game flow, and the rules plus definitions.
• Chart out and define all the in-game elements and components such as setting, structure, story, characters, objects, and other elements available to the game characters.
• Do extensive research to bring new ideas to the table.
• Iterate and develop design prototypes and provide them to the team.
• Coordinate with Leads to ensure that the development is in sync with the design document. Make sure that schedules are maintained by working closely with the Producer, Artists, Game Developers, and QA engineers.
• Drive the workforce to make sure that they understand and maintain the stakeholder vision, technical specifications, fun element, and content for the games.
• Work closely with the QA team, train them and make sure what is expected of the finished product.

• Must have designed and developed game systems for at least 5 shipped mobile titles and overseen their growth during LiveOP phase.
• Experience handling F2P mobile games from concept to live service.
• Possesses extraordinary content creation skills.
• Analytical in thoughts with a dedicated ability to create, communicate, and maintain detailed design documents throughout the game cycle.
• Must be up to date with current industry trends which include new game genres, new design methods as well as new platforms.
• Ability to think in the shoes of our customers and bring in a customer feedback-driven vision that aligns with that of the stakeholders.

In this role, you are responsible to ensure that the entire team understands the concept and vision played out by the Creative/Game director. As the development progresses, the Senior Game designer must take the liberty to adjust the original specifications in order to comply with technical constraints and new workaround methods devised by the team.
