Job description

Nhava Sheva Distribution Terminal Private Limited

1. Assist QHSE HOD and Manager in daily functioning of HSE.
2. Ensure all health and safety measures in the project’s IESE, ESMP, ESMS, Safety Manual and other relevant plans and procedures are being effectively implemented and complied with by the project.
3. Conducting TBT (toolbox talk) and sharing previous shifts observations and ensure TBT record is maintained in each department.
4. Provide HSE induction and other relevant training to the employees and contractors.
5. Assist and take part in mock drills.
6. Maintain minimum stock and issue record PPE.
7. Responsible for verification of HSE control measures on the field.
8. Complete health and safety checklist at assigned facilities on a weekly and monthly basis.
9. Conduct safety inspection of life saving equipment, lifting appliances, mobile equipment as per checklists.
10. Daily inspection of first aid centre, ambulance and canteen.
11. Carry out sanitary inspection as necessary.
12. Check for availability of drinking water and ensure hygiene.
13. Preparation of daily reports shift report, near miss, incident etc.
14. Participate in Risk Assessment and control measures implementation and reinforcement.
15. Participate in HSE incidents, investigations and reporting when required. Intervening and reporting of Safety Violations in shifts.
16. Ensure corrective actions from incidents investigations are effective and maintained.
17. Ensure daily support and advice to other department members during shift.
18. Ensure MSDS/SDS books are kept up to date at all sites. Monitor IMDG cargos daily.
19. Ensure Emergency Response numbers are posted. Coordinate with other departments in case of emergency.
20. Check if all the employees are acting in adherence with HSE rules and regulations.
21. Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees' safety. Ensure adherence of PTW system.
22. Ensure safety compliance in place where work is in progress with permits.
23. Carry out vessel inspection as necessary with PIAL as instructed by Yes Bank.
24. Check for compliance of PPE by contractors and notify.
25. Check for any spillage of IMDG / hazardous material and take corrective action.
26. Ensure firefighting systems are in working condition.
27. Check containers in yard for proper stacking.
28. Check for traffic flow and suggest corrections if required, check for speed violations.
29. Any other responsibilities assigned from time to time.
30. Responding to emergencies.
31. Impart firefighting training to all employees and coordinate with ERP team in emergency.
32. Identify needs of pedestrian path, signage boards, display of posters and comply.
