Job summary

a reputed company in Delhi NCR is seeking an experienced HVAC CAD designer to produce detailed 2D drawings for central plants, AHUs, and piping systems. You will work closely with design engineers to ensure accuracy and timely release of shop and as-built drawings across projects in India.

Required advanced AutoCAD skills, strong 2D HVAC drafting knowledge, and experience with BIM tools such as Revit MEP, Navisworks, or Plant 3D is a plus. MS Office proficiency is also expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of 2D HVAC drafting and detailing.
• Experience with Revit MEP / BIM, Navisworks, and AutoCAD Plant 3D preferred.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed HVAC layouts, shop drawings, working drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Develop drawings for Central A/C Plants, Chilled Water Plants, AHU Rooms, Pump Rooms, Cooling Tower Areas, and Utility Areas.
• Prepare piping layouts, ducting layouts, sections, details, and installation drawings.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and issued within project timelines.
• Coordinate with HVAC Design Engineers to convert calculations into drawings.
• Provide technical drafting support during procurement, installation, and commissioning.

Job description

• Design, Drawings, and generate BOM
• Generate 2D Drawing from 3D Proficiency in AutoCAD
• All the drawings will checked base on input data before released to the engineers
• Ensuring that the products and design meet user needs and quality standards
• Design's effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. drawing to be prepare and timely released
• Prepare detailed HVAC layout drawings, shop drawings, working drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Develop drawings for Central A/C Plants, Chilled Water Plants, AHU Rooms, Pump Rooms, Cooling Tower Areas, and Utility Areas.

Prepare detailed layouts for:

• Chillers
• Chilled-water pumps
• Condenser-water pumps
• Cooling towers
• Expansion tanks
• Heat exchangers
• AHUs and FCUs
• Air-cooled/water-cooled equipment
• Prepare chilled-water and condenser-water piping layouts.
• Prepare ducting layouts, sections, details, and installation drawings.
• Develop equipment arrangement drawings and detailed plant-room layouts.
• Prepare pipe support, equipment foundation/interface, insulation, valve, and installation details.
• To reduce the cost of rework from production due to insufficient data / dimension
• Working closely with engineering team. Production team and quality team ,
• Support the Product engineers and Quality engineers to meet Customer requirements
• Preparation of drawings and design for R & D projects
• Number of innovative design solutions implemented with R & D
• Attend Training and skill development programs
• Team person, friendly attitude, articulate thoughts well and working with integrity.

Drawing Standards & Documentation

Maintain drawing standards, layer systems, symbols, templates, and revision controls.

Prepare drawing registers and maintain proper revision history.

Ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and issued within project timelines.

Incorporate comments received from clients, consultants, and engineering teams.

Prepare As-Built drawings based on approved site changes.

Engineering Support

Work closely with HVAC Design Engineers to convert calculations and design concepts into detailed drawings.

Understand HVAC design parameters sufficiently to identify discrepancies in layouts and drawings.

Review equipment dimensions, nozzle locations, pipe connections, access requirements, and maintenance clearances.

Support quantity take-off and preparation of material requirements from drawings.

Provide technical drafting support during procurement, installation, commissioning, and project execution.

Software Skills

Essential:

AutoCAD Advanced proficiency.

Strong knowledge of 2D HVAC drafting and detailing.

Preferred:

• Revit MEP / BIM.
• Navisworks.
• AutoCAD Plant 3D or other relevant 3D modelling software.
• MS Office.
