Job summary

LYWO RECRUITMENT CONSULTING is seeking a skilled CAD draftsman for a pharmaceutical plant project in Hyderabad. You will create, modify, and manage precise 2D and 3D drawings, including layouts for plant equipment and piping, using AutoCAD.

The role requires developing P&ID and PFDs in line with engineering specifications and international standards, producing architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings, and ensuring compliance with ASME/ASTM/ISO CAD standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Design and Drafting

• Create, modify, and manage precise 2D and 3D technical drawings, including detailed plant layouts, equipment layouts, and piping diagrams, using AutoCAD software.
• Develop and maintain P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) in accordance with engineering specifications and industry standards.
• Generate detailed architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings for new projects and plant modifications.
• Ensure all designs adhere to international engineering standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM, ISO) and internal company CAD standards.
• Translate engineering sketches, specifications, and ideas into accurate and comprehensive technical drawings.

Collaboration and Coordination

• Provide technical support and guidance related to AutoCAD drawings and design principles to other team members.
• Communicate design changes and updates effectively to all relevant teams, ensuring alignment and minimizing rework.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure design compatibility and adherence to project specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to optimize designs for constructability, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with the Projects & Plant Engineering team, process engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand design requirements and project scopes.

Documentation and Management

• Generate reports and material lists from design drawings as required for procurement and project planning.
• Ensure proper version control and data integrity for all AutoCAD files and related documentation.
• Manage and update existing drawings to reflect any modifications, upgrades, or expansions within the pharmaceutical plant.
• Prepare 'As-Built' drawings by incorporating field changes and red-line markups to reflect the actual installed conditions of plant equipment and systems.
• Maintain an extensive and organized drawing documentation system, including revision control, drawing registers, and archiving of all design files.

Quality and Compliance

• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in drawing creation and management workflows.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of internal CAD standards and design guidelines.
• Stay updated with the latest AutoCAD features, drafting techniques, and relevant industry standards to continuously improve design quality and efficiency.
• Conduct thorough self-reviews and peer reviews of drawings to identify and correct errors, omissions, or inconsistencies.
• Ensure all design work complies with Synnat Pharma's quality management systems, safety regulations, and pharmaceutical industry best practices.
