Job summary

LifeCell International Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai invites applications for a lab technician role handling sample receiving, registration in software, and maintaining registers.

You will generate labels, assist in sample processing, ensure instruments are maintained, and follow biomedical waste protocols, with rotational night shifts.

This position requires teamwork across departments, data clarity, and training of subordinates as needed; prior experience in a clinical or diagnostic lab is beneficial.

• Sample Receiving and Registration in software and maintaining relevant registers.
• To generate labels for all product receipt and processing.
• To ensure the lab instruments are duly maintained.
• Follow all protocols during the processing of the samples separation and segregation.
• Coordinate with sample collection other labs and patient areas if necessary.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sample Receiving and Registration in software and maintaining relevant registers.
2. To monitor the routine activities and maintain the relevant registers.
3. To generate labels for all product receipt and processing.
4. To ensure the lab instruments are duly maintained.
5. Follow all protocols during the processing of the samples separation and segregation.
6. Coordinate with sample collection other labs and patient areas if necessary.
7. Data clarification, accountability and communication.
8. To ensure all the protocols for the biomedical waste segregation.
9. Receive the samples and process sample separation and segregation for the required test.
10. In absence of Team leader, Manager will be responsible for performing the activities in the lab and vice versa.
11. To update the adverse sample status to the reporting authority.
12. To train the subordinates on policies and procedures.
13. To handle SRT related queries in coordination with peer groups for customer
14. Perform initial & yearly competency scores for the employees as per the procedure.
15. Any other work assigned from time to time.

Work Schedule

• Rotational shifts including night shifts.
• Rotational weekly off.
