Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited seeks a seasoned Vehicle Systems Engineer to package and integrate vehicle systems and to oversee virtual layouts and architecture for multiple variants.

The role requires strong CAD skills, PLM experience with Teamcenter, and the ability to ensure BOM integrity and adherence to customer requirements throughout development.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in automotive or mechanical engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in automotive packaging and vehicle systems.
• Familiarity with CAD, PLM tools such as Teamcenter.

Responsibilities

• Package and integrate vehicle systems within a vehicle.
• Monitor virtual vehicle layouts and finalize PandH and vehicle architecture.
• Manage variants and achieve project standardization targets.
• Conceptualize and detail VI systems to meet cost, weight and performance targets.
• Exposure to Teamcenter Enterprise, TC-engineering and TC-project PLM tools.
• Ensure CAD Vehicle Layout supports modification insertion and part integration.
• Manage vehicle-level Engineering BOM to support vehicle builds.
• Ensure customer requirements from QFD are met through design monitoring.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• 1. Packaging and integrating vehicle systems into a vehicle
• 2. Monitor Virtual vehicle layout and finalize PandH (Proportions and Hard points) and Vehicle Architecture
• 3. Manage Variants andmeet project specific communisation and standardization targets
• 4. Conceptualize and detailed design VI systems meeting cost weight and functional targets
• 5. Exposure to Team centre  Enterprise, TC-engineering and TC-project (Product Lifecycle Management tools)
• 6. Ensure CAD Vehicle Layout to facilitate design engg for modification insertion / introduction of the new parts in the vehicle by collecting all the CAD models together and locating at vehicle location
• 7. Manage Vehicle level Engineering Bill of Material to support Vehicle Build during Product Development
• 8. Ensure compliance of customer requirements arising out of QFD to deliver the vehicle as per the customer requirements by continuously monitoring design of various systems
