Job summary

Rehlko is seeking a Technical Publications Specialist to strengthen the documentation team for Home Energy BU. You will transform engineering outputs into clear, user-friendly materials for stakeholders including customers, service teams, and regulatory bodies.

The role requires expertise in XML/DITA authoring, CMS, MS Word/Excel, Creo, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Windchill/PLM, and SAP familiarity. You will work on standardizing content, training junior writers, and ensuring timely delivery in a

Qualifications

• XML and DITA authoring tools are required.
• CMS experience mandatory; strong CMS usage in documentation workflows.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel for technical docs.
• Creo and Creo View for engineering drawings and review.
• Adobe Illustrator or other illustration tools for graphics.
• Adobe Acrobat Pro for PDF publishing and stamping.
• Windchill/PLM familiarity for document control.
• SAP integration awareness for technical publication contexts.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION -

The primary purpose of this position is to strengthen the Technical Publications team by enabling high-quality, consistent, and timely delivery of technical documentation for Home Energy BU.

This role ensures engineering outputs are transformed into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for stakeholders including customers, service teams, and regulatory bodies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES –

• Master in the different software tools required for basic job functions and assimilation

• Experience with XML and DITA authoring tools, Content Management Systems (CMS) is REQUIRED
• Microsoft Word, Microsoft excel
• Creo and Creo view
• Adobe Illustrator or any illustration tools
• Adobe Acrobat Pro
• Windchill / PLM
• SAP
• Schema/Style sheet creation (Optional)
• Smartsheet (optional)
• Works with customers on projects in a self-driven way, with a strong interpretation of inputs and requirements of delivery.
• Drive standardization and content reuse
• Provide training to the junior technical writers as and when needed.
• Support digital documentation initiatives
• Review technical documents and validate their quality prior to release.
• Completes assignments using prescribed procedures within the standard project timelines.
• Strong Knowledge of Simplified Technical English
• Clarifies outstanding questions with the departments concerned (Project Management, Technical Publications, Engineering team), and where necessary with external companies and suppliers.
• Capture new learning while executing the project and create/update the standard document procedure/workflow/decision making tree.
• Coordinate and track time spent on technical publication projects
• Proven track record of improving the process
• Manage workload, achieve results with minimal supervision, and advise project managers on project status and potential issues.

This position will report to Mr. Nilesh Deshmukh (Deputy Manager-Technical Publications) in Rehlko Services Center, India and will work as individual contribution
