Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a QAQC Quality Assurance Welding Inspection professional in Madurai district, Tamil Nadu to lead welding inspection, QA/QC activities, NDT inspections, and client coordination for fabrication projects.

Role requires ASNT/ISNT Level-II certification and strong knowledge of BSEN, ASME, AWS, IS, and IRS standards. You will prepare WPS/QP, oversee surface prep and painting, and drive continuous improvement in quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in Welding inspection and QA/QC for fabrication projects.
• Proven ability to implement NDT inspections (VT, PT, MPT, RT, UT) and evaluate discontinuities.
• Knowledge of BSEN, ASME, AWS, IS and IRS standards; capable of establishing welding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welding joints, surfaces, and coatings to ensure compliance with QA/QC standards.
• Prepare Work Procedures (WPS) and Qualification Procedures (QP) for fabrication/erection activities.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams; manage documentation and record-keeping; lead a quality-focused team.
• Evaluate and document testing results (NDT/NDE) and manage corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to applicable codes and standards throughout fabrication and erection processes.

Job Description

Experience in the field of Welding, Destructive Testing, Structural Fabrication, Quality Assurance & Control, Client Relationship Management, Documentation, Coordination and Team Management.Preparation of Work procedure & QP for fabrication and erection of SS/CS Piping, structures, Static/rotary equipment.Experience in Conducting WPS/PQR and WPQ as per the applicable codesExperience in Inspection of surface preparation and Painting of structures as per the applicable codes/standards.Worked with various code provisions such as BSEN, ASME, AWS, IS, IRS.Established Welding Procedures for various materials like Structural Steel, LTCS, LAS, Stainless Steel.Proficient in maintaining quality standards for in process, incoming materials, ensuring stringent adherence to quality standards, norms & practices, identifying gaps and taking corrective actions.Proven track record in implementing cost saving measures to develop manpower skills, safety measures and ensuring compliance of various quality measures. Effective in communication & negotiation with strong analytical, problem solving Skills.Experience in Inspection of Piping, structures and static/rotary equipment as per the approved QP.Experience in conducting NDT Inspections (ie Visual, Penetrant testing, Magnetic particle testing, Radiography testing & Ultrasonic testing, Vacuum box testing & Kerosene Leak Testing) and evaluating the discontinuities as per the applicable standards.Having valid ASNT/ISNT level -II certificate in VT,PT,MPT,RT,UT & LTExperience in Inspection of Manufacturing components at Vendor premises and expeditingExperience in inspection of Fasteners, Paints and Doors.
