Job summary

Vertiv Co in Pune, India is seeking a Sr. Engineer – Power Hardware to lead and coordinate QA, testing, production and R&D across our power electronics product lines.

You will serve as the project in charge for rectifier hardware development, creating timelines, organizing cross functional meetings and ensuring adherence to specifications and schedules. The role demands strong technical knowledge and excellent communication in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in power electronics design & development.
• Strong knowledge of power conversion design & manufacturing.
• Experience in Industrial grade Rectifier or UPS product design with PFC, inverter, buck, boost & LLC.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate QA, testing, production and R&D for new and existing product lines.

Job Description

Serve as project in charge for rectifier products HW development project, creating timeline and, organizing collaborative meetings and ensuring project comply with specifications, timelines. Review work and project for technical accuracy. Maintain knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials and best practices; apply this knowledge to continually improve product line and production efficiency.Handle and solve market plus production problems. Perform other duties as assigned. Being part of Global Engineering Function, it is expected to follow the defined processes and adhere to defined communication plan.

Job Specifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical /Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in power electronics design & development is required
• Strong knowledge of power conversion design & manufacturing
• Good exposure of engineering theory & design criteria related to power conversion is required
• Experience in Industrial grade Rectifier or UPS product design, familiar with PFC, inverter circuit, buck, boost & LLC circuit principle & design

• Familiarity with control theory, analog, digital & electric plus Strong analytical & problem-solving skill required

• Thorough understanding of applied maths & physics is plus
• Experience on handling project independently and guide team members as needed
• Exposure of computer-aided drafting (CAD) software is added advantage
• Exposure to embedded software development is added advantage
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision
• Excellent Interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English
