Job summary

Vertiv Co in Pune, India, is seeking a Sr. Engineer – Power Hardware to lead and coordinate QA, testing, production, and R&D for rectifier products, driving timelines and ensuring technical accuracy.

You will manage projects, review designs, apply latest trends, and resolve production issues while adhering to processes and communication plans. A bachelor's in Electrical/Electronics and 5–6 years in power electronics are required, with CAD exposure; English communications essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in power electronics design & development.
• Strong knowledge of power conversion design & manufacturing.
• Experience in Industrial grade Rectifier or UPS product design; familiar with PFC, inverter, buck, boost & LLC.
• Exposure to embedded software development is an added advantage.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.

Job Specifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical /Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in power electronics design & development is required
• Strong knowledge of power conversion design & manufacturing
• Good exposure of engineering theory & design criteria related to power conversion is required
• Experience in Industrial grade Rectifier or UPS product design, familiar with PFC, inverter circuit, buck, boost & LLC circuit principle & design

• Familiarity with control theory, analog, digital & electric plus Strong analytical & problem-solving skill required

• Thorough understanding of applied maths & physics is plus
• Experience on handling project independently and guide team members as needed
• Exposure of computer-aided drafting (CAD) software is added advantage
• Exposure to embedded software development is added advantage
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision
• Excellent Interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English
