LIXIL INDIA PVT LTD is seeking a Senior Engineer– EHS to lead industrial safety initiatives at our Bhimadole site. The role focuses on EHS compliance, audits, training, and risk reduction across the plant.

Candidate should have 5+ years in industrial safety engineering, strong knowledge of safety regulations, and the ability to implement safety programs and tools such as KYT, HIRA, and IMS documentation. The position is on-site with full-time responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial safety is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in industrial safety engineering.
  • Proficiency in AP factories rules and Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Acts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training on the KYT module to the workforce.
  • Participate and review in HIRA programs.
  • Prepare and maintain the IMS documents for internal and external audits.
  • Plan and ensure periodic calibration of lifting tools, pressure vessels, SRV, etc.
  • Inspect equipment for vendor onboarding.
  • Provide EHS induction to new incumbents.
  • Raise PR and follow up for PO and submission of EHS-related bills.
  • Prepare project reports and monitor projects to eliminate risk and prevent injuries.
  • Organize toolbox/ DMM / small group meetings and follow up on EHS concerns.

Senior Engineer– EHS

Reporting to

Professional Experience

- At least 5 years’ experience in Industrial safety engineering

Location-Bhimadole
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide training on the KYT module to the workforce.
  • Participate and review in HIRA programs.
  • To prepare and maintain the IMS documents for internal and external Audits.
  • Plan and ensure periodic Calibration of Lifting tools and Tackles, Pressure vessel, SRV etc.
  • Inspection of equipment for vendor onboarding.
  • Providing EHS induction to the new incumbents.
  • To raise PR and follow up for PO and submission of EHS-related bills.
  • To prepare a project report and monitor the projects for eliminating the risk and preventing injuries.
  • To participate in the toolbox/ DMM /Small group meetings with each department and raise the EHS concerns of the respective area and follow up for closure.
  • To prepare and collect the data for monthly safety committee meetings and draft MoM.
  • To inspect the fire extinguisher and maintain the data.
  • To inspect the fire hydrant system and ensure the working condition of the same.
  • To Compile and report weekly, monthly data on EHS to the EHS leader.
  • To work on the safety applications(ASUENE& SAFELOG) and input the EHS data as per the set periodicity.
  • To issue and track and close the permit-to-work system.
  • To implement and comply with LOTOTO requirements.
  • To inspect and maintain the inventory of the emergency control center & On-site emergency response plan.
  • To organize, participate and draft the mock drill report as per the plan.
  • To plan and for the submission of the Quarterly, half yearly and annual, analysis EHS reports to regulatory and Legal bodies.
  • To prepare and update EHS-leader on the pareto analysis of the KYT report as per the zones.
  • To orient and spread awareness to the shopfloor team on the safety SOP’s(KYT, SBK, HIRA,) and safety training.
  • To assist Leader - EHS on the visits, inspections w.r.t EHS.
  • To update and maintain the inventory on PPE & CPE.
  • Conduct weekly audits in ETP and STP, and related channels.
  • Maintain Green belt in the factory.
Required Skills And Capabilities
  • Proficiency in AP factories rules, 1950, APPCB acts and The Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (Central) Rules, 2026.
  • Proficiency in English, Telugu and Hindi language.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google's documents and ability to use safety applications(ASUENE/SAFELOG).
Academia

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial safety.

Preferred Industrial Background

- Preferred in manufacturing & sanitaryware industries background.
