Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, a leader in tractor and automotive technology, seeks a design engineer with 5–6 years of experience in sheet metal, plastic and rubber parts design. You will contribute to cabin development, ensure design for manufacturing, and support validation and serviceability considerations for tractor systems.

The role requires BE/B.Tech in Automotive/Mechanical, proficiency in UG NX, and strong skills in DFMEA, GD&T and 2D/3D drawings.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Automotive or Mechanical is required.
• Experience in designing sheet metal, plastic and rubber parts.
• Knowledge of tractor cabin and vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of complete new product development.
• Design parts for tractors with sheet metal, plastics and trims.
• Create 3D layouts and 2D drawings for cabin components.
• Apply DFMEA/DFM/ DFA/ DFS and GD&T in design processes.
• Review virtual simulations and homologation requirements to meet specs.
• Understand assembly and serviceability needs of tractors.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Knowledge of complete new product development.
• Should have Knowledge of tractor cabin / vehicle systems and its applications.
• Functional understanding & experience in designing the parts for tractor.
• Design experience of Sheetmetal, Plastic/Trims, Rubbers parts etc.
• Knowledge of design, testing and validation of tractor Cabin.
• Expertise in UG NX & Team Centre Engineering
• Knowledge & should have worked in 1 complete project with design tools like DFMEA, DFM,DFA, DFS & GD&T
• knowledge of manufacturing process of sheet metal, Rubber and plastic parts.
• 3-D layout preparation, 2-D drawing preperation.
• Review & monitoring techincal documnets like vitrual simualtion, Standards & homologation requirments to meet the design specs.
• Understanding Assembly and Serviceability requirement in tractor.

Experience

5-6 years (with relevant experience in sheetmetal, plastic and rubber parts design & development).
