Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking aMechanical Engineer to design transmission components for tractors and automotive platforms. You will work on gear, shafts, Crown Wheel, and planetary gear selections while understanding overall transmission architecture.

Proficiency in ROMAX and Kisssoft is required to perform system-level calculations and ensure accurate 2D drawings and 3D models. Key competencies include GD&T, tolerance stacking, and knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in tractor/automotive transmission design.
• Experience with design of transmission components and DFMEA.
• Knowledge of tolerance analysis, stacking, and GD&T.
• Proficiency in 2D drawing and 3D modelling.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission components like gear, shafts, Crown Wheel, Planetary and bearing selection.
• Understand transmission architecture and layouts at a basic level.
• Perform system-level/component calculations in ROMAX and Kisssoft.

Job description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Design of transmission components like gear, shafts,Crown Wheel, Planetary & bearing selection
• Basic understanding on Transmission architecture and Layouts
• Able to perform System level / components calculations in ROMAX and Kisssoft softwares
• Preparation of 2D part / Sub assembly drawings and 3D modelling
• Working knowledge on Tolerance analysis and stacking
• Knowledge on manufacturing processes, DFA
• Skills on DFMEA
• Resolving Failures concerns (Lab, Field)
• Adherence to project timelines for drawing release

3 - 4 Yrs
