Job Title: Sr. Electrical Design Engineer - LV Design

Qualifications: BE/B.Tech/ME (Electrical)

Experience: 10+ years

Desired Skills: Aviva Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, Aviva Instrumentation, ETAP/PSCAD, Dialux, Design analysis, Oil & Gas Experience

Location: Pune

Responsibilities

1. Perform load list, feeder lists, cable sizing, transformer sizing, CT/VT sizing, relay setting, and coordination studies.
2. Design low voltage control panels including switchgear, MCC, and relay panels. Prepare schematic wiring diagrams.
3. Knowledge of ANSI, NEMA, NEC, UL standards.
4. Create technical specifications for transformers, LV switchgears, DC and UPS systems, cables, lighting, earthing, control, and protection systems.
5. Conduct feasibility studies for specification finalization. Communicate effectively.
6. Develop layouts for cable raceways, grounding, lighting, electrical equipment in substations, transformer yards, switchgear rooms, and hazardous areas.
7. Prepare bills of materials for major equipment and bulk items, considering hazardous and safe areas.
8. Review vendor offers and create technical evaluation reports. Lead a team.
9. Draw single line diagrams, protection, metering SLDs, SCADA architecture, I/O lists.
10. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, vendors, contractors.
11. Design power distribution systems, substation packages, LV switchgear, MCC, EMS, busducts, UPS, communication, fire alarm, cathodic protection, grounding, and lighting protection systems.
12. Work on 4.16kV cable wiring projects.
13. Experience in multidisciplinary EPC projects for industrial, energy, power, oil & gas sectors.
14. Create deliverables from scratch, adapt to fast-paced startup environments, handle multiple projects, and incorporate technological developments like hydrogen ecosystems.
15. Ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, IS).
16. Proficient in MS Office, MS Excel, AutoCAD, and power system studies using ETAP.

Software Skills

1. ETAP / PSCAD for power system analysis.
2. EasyPower for design and protection analysis.
3. SKM for fault calculations, load flow, coordination, arc flash hazards.
4. AGI32 for lighting analysis, AutoCAD add-on, AVEVA Electrical.
5. Key One Line diagrams, cable management, equipment datasheets.
6. Electrical Heat Trace Calculations with CompuTrace.
7. DIALux for lighting design and visualization.
