Job summary

BioTalent Search seeks an experienced Senior HVAC Design Lead in Bengaluru to drive complex HVAC and cleanroom projects. You will manage a team of design engineers and drafters, coordinating with customers, vendors and consultants to ensure timely, compliant layouts.

The role requires hands-on design oversight in HVAC, electrical schemes and BMS integration, with strong command of standards and energy optimization. Pharma/food/pharma API exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 15–17 years of relevant HVAC/MEP project design experience.
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 75%+ in 10th/12th.

Responsibilities

• Lead design engineers and drafting team.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, customers & vendors.
• Apply ISPE/ISO/ASHRAE/IS/NBC standards in layouts.
• Lead HVAC, Cleanroom, Electrical and BMS integration.
• Perform heat load estimation and psychrometric analysis.
• Review vendor drawings/submittals for on-time manufacturing.
• Guide drafting team on ducting, piping and cabling layouts.
• Prepare BOMs and engineering deliverables.

Job Description

• Capable to work effectively leading a team of Design Engineers and Drafting team.
• Meticulous in Basic / Concept Design & Engineering and can interplay with Project Teams, Consultant/Customer & Vendors.
• Sector specific knowledge in different applications like Pharma, Food & other Cleanroom applications.
• Good knowledge of ISPE / ISO / ASHRAE / IS/NBC Codes/Standards and ideas on AutoCAD/Revit (3D) with spatial conceptualization/visualization for coordination of various services in the layouts.
• Lead/represent integrated design for HVAC, Cleanroom, Electrical, BMS. KRA shall be Basic/Detailed Engineering with cost/energy efficiency, Drgs/BOM development, Customer/Consultant interaction for timely approval, and specifically to cover:
• Heat Load estimation / HAP software knowledge.
• Psychrometric Analysis, System pressure drop calculation for ducting, piping, steam related calculation.
• Equipment selection like:
• AHUs / TFAs / VUs / Dehumidifiers and Various Heat Recovery applications, Dust Collector.
• Vendors Dwg/Data/Submittal review and release for on-time manufacturing.
• Framing basis of BMS / Electrical scheme (IO Summary, Electrical Load Lists etc.).
• Layout for ducting, piping, cabling etc. review & guidance to Drafting Team.
• Large/Tall Building, Large Scale MEP work, Large Size Pharmaceutical Formulation & API experience would be an advantage.
• Hands-on knowledge of MS Office, Email drafting, PowerPoint (PPT) shall be preferred. Candidates worked in Contracting domain shall be given due weightage.
