Job summary

Unilever in Navi Mumbai invites applications for a depot operations role focused on efficient, safe warehousing and distribution. Coordinate inbound, storage, outbound, and returns to meet OTIF targets while maintaining inventory accuracy.

You will collaborate with warehouse teams, transporters, and 3PL partners, monitor KPIs, support cycle counts, and help implement digital tools and process improvements, with reporting to the DC Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, depot, logistics or distribution operations.
• Knowledge of WMS and inventory management.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in MS Excel and reporting tools.
• Graduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day warehouse and depot operations (inbound, storage, outbound, returns) to meet service and OTIF targets.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams, transporters, and 3PL partners to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, support cycle counts, and assist in resolving stock variances.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, hygiene, and compliance standards.
• Track operational KPIs such as productivity, damages, turnaround time, and service levels; highlight issues and support corrective actions.
• Support manpower deployment, shift planning, and resource utilization within the depot.
• Resolve routine operational issues and escalated exceptions to the DC Manager.
• Support implementation of digital tools, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain operational records, reports, and documentation as required.
• Supervise contract workforce on the shop floor and ensure SOP compliance.

Role Purpose

Support DC in running an efficient, safe, and compliant depot operation by coordinating day-to-day warehousing and distribution activities, ensuring timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of products while maintaining inventory accuracy and service levels.
