Job summary

Unilever in Navi Mumbai seeks a Depot Operations professional to support efficient, safe, and compliant warehousing and distribution, ensuring timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of products with accurate inventory.

You will coordinate with warehouse teams, transporters, and 3PL partners, monitor KPIs, support cycle counts, and drive continuous improvement initiatives on digital tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, depot, logistics or distribution operations.
• Working knowledge of WMS and inventory management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in MS Excel and reporting tools.
• Graduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or related discipline preferred.

Role Purpose

Support DC in running an efficient, safe, and compliant depot operation by coordinating day-to-day warehousing and distribution activities, ensuring timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of products while maintaining inventory accuracy and service levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day warehouse and depot operations (inbound, storage, outbound, returns) to meet service and OTIF targets.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams, transporters, and 3PL partners to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, support cycle counts, and assist in resolving stock variances.
• Ensure adherence to Unilever safety, quality, hygiene, and compliance standards.
• Track operational KPIs such as productivity, damages, turnaround time, and service levels; highlight issues and support corrective actions.
• Support manpower deployment, shift planning, and resource utilization within the depot.
• Resolve routine operational issues and elevate exceptions to the DC Manager.
• Support implementation of digital tools, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain operational records, reports, and documentation as required.
• Supervise contract workforce on the shop floor and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in warehouse, depot, logistics, or distribution operations, preferably in FMCG or a similar environment.
• Working knowledge of WMS, inventory management, and warehouse processes.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced operational environment.
