Job summary

Value Research in India is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to manage large-scale Mutual Fund data projects and contribute to analytical framework design. The role blends rigorous analytics with domain insight, working closely with clients to deliver data-backed solutions.

You will lead end-to-end projects, validate data, and develop dashboards using Excel, SQL, Python, and BI tools, while mentoring junior analysts and staying current with market trends.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in data analytics or financial research, preferably in Mutual Funds, BFSI, or Fintech domain.
• Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics or related fields.
• Strong command over Excel for data analysis; experience with Power BI/Tableau, SQL, Python is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical projects involving Mutual Fund data from design to delivery, ensuring insights are accurate and actionable.
• Develop and implement methodologies for industry research, recognitions, and internal analytical frameworks.
• Collaborate with clients to understand business problems, define analytical requirements, and deliver data-backed solutions.
• Perform in-depth data validation to maintain benchmark accuracy and consistency.
• Spot trends and create data-led stories/infographics for website or social media.
• Build analytical dashboards and tools for internal and client use (Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI).
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments impacting mutual funds.

Role Overview

We are seeking an independent, detail-oriented, and highly analytical Senior Data Analyst to join our Mutual Fund Data team. The ideal candidate will not only manage large-scale financial datasets with precision but will also contribute strategically in designing analytical frameworks, research products and supporting client engagements that require deep industry understanding. This role blends analytical rigor with domain understanding, making it ideal for someone who wants to go beyond routine analytics and contribute to shaping industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Build analytical dashboards and tools for both internal and client use (using Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI, etc.).

Requirements

Experience: 4-7 years of experience in data analytics or financial research, preferably in Mutual Funds, BFSI, or Fintech domain.

Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics or related fields.

Technical Skills

• Strong command over Excel for data analysis.
• Ability to handle and process large volumes of data.
• Experience with Power BI/Tableau, SQL, Python is desirable.

Domain Expertise

• Strong knowledge of savings and investment products in India.
• Deep understanding of Mutual Funds data and investing concepts.
• Ability to interpret and analyze fund performance/portfolio data, industry trends, and investor behavior.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication and client interaction skills.
