Job summary

SVKM’s NMIMS Centre for Distance and Online Education (NCDOE) in Mumbai invites applications for the Sr. Coordinator-Assessment QA. The role supports the Director CIQA in developing and reviewing quality assessment tools to measure learning outcomes across distance and online programs.

The incumbent will collect and analyze data, generate reports for faculty and regulatory bodies, and train staff on QA procedures while ensuring alignment with learning objectives and standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education, instructional design, QA or related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in education quality assurance, accreditation, or similar.
• Experience in QA or assessment review within educational settings.
• Familiarity with LMS and digital content creation tools.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess assessment tools (tests, exams, quizzes, projects) to ensure learning outcomes are met.
• Implement QA procedures to maintain consistency and standards across assessments.
• Design and implement new assessment tools for IA & TEE.
• Collect, analyze data on student performance and curriculum outcomes.
• Generate reports and provide feedback to faculty and admins for data-driven decisions.
• Coordinate with regulators and prepare required reports and documentation.
• Train staff on QA procedures and stay updated on online learning trends.

Job Title: Sr. Coordinator-Assessment QA

Reports to: Assistant Registrar-QA & Compliance

Location: Mumbai

Job Purpose: This role is responsible to assist Director CIQA for developing and reviewing quality of assessment tools, including tests, exams, quizzes, project assignments, case studies etc to measure student’s learning outcomes effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Director CIQA to review and assess available assessment tools, including tests, exams, quizzes, project assignments, case studies etc. to measure student’s learning outcomes effectively


• Implement quality assurance procedures to maintain consistency and standards across all assessment tools.


• Assist Director to design, develop and implement new assessment tools of Internal Assessments (IA) & Term End Exams (TEE)


• Monitor assessments align with learning objectives and provide a fair evaluation of student knowledge and skills.


• Collect and analyse data related to student performance, CLOF attainment, UFM cases, teacher effectiveness, and other relevant metrics.


• Generate reports on assessment results and provide feedback to faculty and administrators to facilitate data-driven decision-making.


• Assess various assessment tools and methodologies, such as rubrics, surveys, and standardized tests, to evaluate educational outcomes.


• Assist Director CIQA to Collect, Collate and disseminate accurate and reliable statistics about assessment quality of programmes at NCDOE.


• Assist Director CIQA for preparation and submission of required regulatory reports, Annual report and documentation to statutory bodies in a timely and accurate manner.


• Provide reports and updates to senior leadership and regulatory bodies as necessary.


• Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities, reports, and corrective actions.


• Facilitate training to staff and teachers on quality assurance procedures.


• Coordinate with relevant regulatory authorities for audits and inspections.


• Stay updated with educational trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in online learning.


• Provide training and support to faculty and staff on assessment methods, parity on grading, and assessment quality improvement initiatives

Requirements- Skills & Competencies

• Understands quality assurance norms of assessment tools used for distance and online learning

Requirements- Education & Work Experience

• Preferred to have Master's degree in education, instructional design, quality assurance, or a related field.


• Proven work experience of 5-8 years in education quality assurance, accreditation, or a similar role within an educational institution.


• Experience in quality assurance or assessment review in an educational setting is preferred.


• Deep understanding of educational standards, assessment methodologies, and data analysis techniques is essential.


• Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and digital content creation tools.
