Job summary

Moody's Investors Service is seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team. You will drive OneStream initiatives, transform transactional data into insights, and enable smarter decision‑making across Finance and Accounting.

You will partner with stakeholders, manage master data operations with Semarchy, and ensure governance, security, and audit readiness while mentoring team members and delivering training on the EPM platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS or PM.
• Extensive OneStream experience in budgeting, forecasting, and related processes.
• 3+ years in IT project implementations for Finance and Accounting.
• Proficient in Excel modelling, SQL Server, and VB.NET; familiarity with MDM concepts.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to design actionable strategies and implement OneStream solutions.
• Transform raw data into analytical insights using OneStream Planning and Analytics features.
• Lead SDLC and incident management with JIRA for timely delivery and audit compliance.
• Manage security, access provisioning, and SOX governance activities.
• Drive automation, data reconciliation, and deployment of BI tools; ensure governance.

Skills and Competencies

• Extensive hands‑on experience with OneStream planning, particularly in budgeting, forecasting, and finance‑related processes
• Proven expertise in system operations, business analysis, and managing EPM Cloud operations for Finance and Accounting, with 3+ years in IT project implementations
• Proficiency in advanced Excel modelling, Visual Basic .NET, SQL Server; familiarity with Fabric Lakehouse and IQ Planning is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into actionable technical solutions while communicating effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Skilled in project and issue management tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow, ensuring efficient workflows and resolution tracking
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of breaking down complex issues, identifying root causes, and delivering effective solutions
• Success in cross‑functional team collaboration, stakeholder relationship management, and aligning priorities to achieve shared business goals in dynamic environments
• Working knowledge of Semarchy or similar enterprise Master Data Management platforms with exposure to MDM governance concepts is a plus
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.

• Partner with business leaders to understand challenges, design actionable strategies, and implement OneStream solutions to enhance performance and enable strategic decision‑making
• Transform raw transactional data into analytical insights using OneStream’s Specialty Planning, Analytical Blend, and custom solutions to meet evolving business needs
• Lead operational excellence across the SDLC and incident management, utilizing JIRA for structured project plans, timely delivery, and compliance with audit standards
• Manage security protocols, access provisioning, and governance activities, ensuring SOX compliance and adherence to regulatory standards
• Drive efficiency through process automation, data reconciliation improvements, and deployment of BI tools and advanced technologies
• Oversee platform scalability, proactive issue resolution, and continuous improvement, ensuring transparency with detailed project reporting
• Execute administrative tasks to manage master data operations in Semarchy, including maintaining user access privileges, supporting data steward workflows, monitoring hierarchy job execution, and coordinating with teams on approval workflows and audit reviews
• Streamline OneStream master data management by integrating it with Semarchy to enhance workflow transparency, strengthen data governance, minimize incident frequency, and mitigate audit risks.
• Develop SOPs, mentor team members, and deliver impactful training programs to empower users and maximize the EPM platform’s capabilities
