Job summary

Moody's in India is searching for an experienced OneStream Developer to support planning, forecasting, and financial close processes. You will work with VB.NET and SQL to build rules, workflows, and cube views while collaborating with finance and tech teams.

The role requires 5-7 years of hands-on OneStream experience, strong SQL skills, and a proactive approach to testing, governance, and data modeling. This position offers growth within a global risk analytics environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience with OneStream, focusing on planning, budgeting, forecasting and allocations.
• Strong knowledge of VB.NET, SQL or similar OO languages; develop and maintain business rules.
• Experience with SQL Server, data modeling, and master data management concepts.
• Experience in software development lifecycle activities, including testing and change management.
• Familiarity with cloud analytics platforms like Fabric Lakehouse is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; collaborate with stakeholders.
• Interest in AI-assisted development and responsible AI practices is preferred.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar issue tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional support for financial planning, modeling, forecasting, and close processes.
• Manage metadata maintenance: dimension builds, hierarchy updates, and testing.
• Develop, test, and support OneStream Business Rules, workflows, cube views, and custom solutions.
• Build integration and scripting solutions using VB.NET and SQL.
• Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into designs and tasks.
• Participate in regression and UAT, releases, and defect resolution.
• Maintain development/testing documentation for audit/governance.
• Support adoption of Microsoft Fabric capabilities within planning ecosystem.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and quality.
• Support security, user access management, and compliance processes.

Skills And Competencies

• 5-7 years of experience working with OneStream, primarily supporting Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Allocation Models.
• Strong knowledge of VB.NET, SQL, or similar object-oriented programming/scripting languages, with the ability to develop and maintain OneStream Business Rules.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server, relational databases, data modeling concepts, and master data management, including dimensions, hierarchies, and cube views.
• Experience supporting application development lifecycle activities, including unit testing, regression testing, defect tracking, and change management
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Fabric Lakehouse architecture, or related cloud-based analytics platforms is preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
• Interest in AI-assisted development technologies and a commitment to responsible AI practices is preferred.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar tools for development, testing, and work tracking.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• OneStream certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain certification within the first year.

• Partner with business and functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation tasks.
• Participate in regression testing, user acceptance testing, release activities, and defect resolution.
• Maintain development and testing documentation in compliance with audit and governance requirements.
• Support the adoption and integration of Microsoft Fabric capabilities within the enterprise planning ecosystem.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve efficiency, automation, and solution quality.
• Support application security, user access management, and compliance certification processes.
