Job summary

Insurity is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst I to bridge business needs with technology in our insurance software projects. You will gather and analyze requirements, facilitate communication, and ensure alignment between stakeholders and the development team.

You’ll develop deep expertise in the insurance domain and data workflows, collaborate during testing, and translate complex business needs into clear specifications while supporting process improvements across commercial lines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Commercial Insurance.
• Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Understanding of insurance domain and commercial lines (Auto, Property, Liability) helpful.
• Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
• Proficiency in requirement gathering and documentation tools.
• Ability to translate insurance requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented thinking.

Insurity s Next Sr. Business Analyst I

You will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery and quality of Insurity s insurance software solution. As a Sr. Business Analyst I, your primary focus will be to support the team by bridging business needs with technology, gathering and analyzing requirements, and facilitating communication to ensure alignment and clarity.

This role involves developing deep expertise in the insurance domain and insurance data warehouses, while collaborating during testing phases to validate business solutions. You will strengthen the team s capabilities by translating complex insurance requirements into actionable insights and supporting the delivery of high-value, high-quality software.

This role requires a strong commitment to the continuous development of both technical knowledge and business acumen, with a focus on commercial insurance processing and reporting requirements, including operational, financial, and regulatory needs. The role also requires a commitment to assessing and supporting ongoing process improvement.

What Our Sr Business Analyst I Will Do

• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to collect and clarify business and functional requirements.
• Drive automation and quality improvement from a business perspective by supporting testing strategy and validating requirements.

• Perform and support testing efforts and artifacts, project status reporting, and requirement traceability documentation.

Who We're Looking For

• Recommended: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Commercial Insurance.
• Recommended: Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of the insurance domain and commercial lines of business such as commercial billing application knowledge, nice to have, commercial LOB exposure like Auto, Property, and Liability.
• Experience engaging with technical and business stakeholders in Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
• Proficiency with requirement gathering and documentation tools.
• Ability to effectively translate complex insurance requirements to technical teams and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
