Job summary

Varroc in Karnataka is seeking a Finance Analyst to assist the Site Finance Controller with data for plant-level financial analysis and MIS reporting. The role covers monthly closings, journal postings, and ensuring accuracy for financial results.

You will participate in statutory/internal audits, support annual budgets/forecasts, and collaborate with Operations on BOM and raw material cost calculations. PLI-related tasks and inventory activities are also included.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial analysis for manufacturing/plant operations.
• Ability to support monthly close processes with data accuracy.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and MIS reporting.
• Exposure to internal and statutory audits and adherence to compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Finance Controller with data for financial analysis of plant results.
• Support monthly closings and posting of month-end journals with documentation.
• Facilitate statutory/internal audits and address audit queries.
• Contribute to Budget/Forecast preparation and BOM/raw material cost validation.
• Support PLI related activities and year-end inventory processes.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• To provide necessary support to Site Finance controller with data required for Analysis of plants Financial results.
• To ensure smooth monthly closing of books of Accounts for the site and help site finance controller in MIS reporting
• To ensure smooth Quarterly / Annual Statutory audit and no NC s in internal Audits.
• Support Finance controller in Preparation of Annual Budget / Forecast
• Other support activities, including PLI related work.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• 1. Accountability1 Support Finance Controller with Data required for Financial analysis.
• Identify and highlight the areas where site Financials are not meeting the Budget
• Validation of CI savings at plant level and highlight the gaps
• Work with Operations team to understand the gaps in Financial results
• 2. Accountability2 Smooth Month closing
• Work with cross functional team to get the month end provision and validate the same
• Posting necessary JVs at the month end with adequate supporting documents
• Post vendor credit notes / customer debits at month end
• 3. Accountability3 Statutory / Internal Audit
• Provide necessary Support in Internal Audit procedure
• Ensure necessary interaction with Statutory auditors for providing the required details and closing queries
• Ensure that there are no repeat points from previous internal Audits.
• 4. Accountability4 – Budget / Forecast
• Support Finance controller on validation of BOM & Calculation of Raw Material cost for Budget preparation
• Interact with other function to work out the variable cost calculation of Budget
• Help Finance controller in preparation of Monthly Forecast
• 5. Accountability5 – Other Allied Activities
• Attend Daily Works meeting and develop necessary rapport with Operation team
• Attend the regular Perpetual inventory count
• Extend necessary help during Fixed Asset Verification, Annual inventory count.
• Work on data required for Customer PLI

• Reviewing daily sales report and update to Finance controller
• Review other costs / Scrap on daily basis
• Assist Finance Controller during Month closing
