Job summary

Genpact in India is seeking an Accounts Payable specialist to manage end-to-end vendor invoicing, payment processing, and master data maintenance in ERP systems such as Dynamics 365.

You will perform aging reviews, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close, while addressing vendor and stakeholder queries within SLAs. The role emphasizes process improvement and regulatory compliance in collaboration with procurement and finance teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level degrees in accounting, commerce, economics or finance.
  • Experience with accounts payable processes and data reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and month-end close activities.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile vendor invoices, manage PO data, and ensure timely supplier payments.
  • Handle AP and travel & expense operations, including invoicing, audits, and journal entries.
  • Perform AP aging reviews, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities.
  • Manage end-to-end payment operations, including proposals, remittance, and bank transactions.
  • Investigate invoice discrepancies and ensure SLAs are met.
  • Support audit, tax, and regulatory compliance with proper documentation.
  • Coordinate with agencies and suppliers for necessary documentation and timely resolution.
  • Handle supplier and stakeholder queries via HelpDesk and resolve promptly.
  • Drive process improvements and maintain supplier master data in ERP (Dynamics 365).
  • Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure accurate payments.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Process and reconcile vendor invoices/ credit notes, Invoice rejections, maintain vendor master data, manage purchase orders, and ensure timely and accurate supplier payments in compliance with company policies and financial controls
  • Handle Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense operations, including invoice processing, expense claim audits, payment execution, journal entries, and resolution of vendor and stakeholder queries through email and calls
  • Perform AP aging reviews, vendor statement reconciliations, AP-to-GL reconciliations, accruals, cash forecasting, and month-end/quarter-end close activities to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage end-to-end payment operations, including payment proposals (Electronic, Manual & urgent), remittance processing, emergency payments, bank transactions, petty cash, and foreign currency postings
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment exceptions, duplicate claims, debit balances, and outstanding reconciliation items while ensuring adherence to SLAs
  • Support audit, tax, and regulatory compliance requirements through accurate documentation, approval workflows, internal controls, and process governance
  • Coordinate with agencies and suppliers to validate supporting documentation and ensure timely resolution of payment-related inquiries
  • Handle end-to-end supplier and business stakeholder queries (HelpDesk) related to invoices, payments, vendor master data, remittances, and AP policy/process clarifications, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Perform issue investigation, root cause analysis on helpdesk queries/emails, and follow-up with internal AP, Procurement, and Agencies to drive closure of tickets within agreed SLAs
  • Collaborate with vendors, procurement, finance, treasury, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless issue resolution and continuous process improvement
  • Manage creation, maintenance, blocking, and unblocking of supplier master records in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365), ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and adherence to agreed service levels and turnaround times
  • Validate supplier setup requests and due diligence of supplier details (VAT, CHR, Supplier Legal entity name)
  • Managed purchase order (PO) activities, including PO creation, amendments, and reviews, while maintaining vendor contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Drive operational excellence through data analysis, reporting, risk mitigation, automation opportunities, and implementation of best practices to enhance AP efficiency and service delivery.
