Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Data Engineer in Mumbai, India to build and maintain data pipelines for process analysis. You will design data models in Celonis, write SQL for analysis, and ensure data governance and documentation of workflows.

You will collaborate with data scientists and business analysts, work with global teams, and contribute to data‑driven decision making. This role emphasizes learning and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, or related field; or masters in similar fields.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data into Celonis.
• Design and maintain data models within Celonis for accurate visualization.
• Leverage SQL to query and transform data for analysis and reporting in Celonis & KNIME.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security within Celonis.
• Create and maintain documentation of data engineering processes, models, and workflows.
• Monitor and optimize Celonis performance for data processing.
• Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to provide data insights.

• SQL Expertise: Leverage your strong SQL skills to query, manipulate, and transform data for analysis and reporting within Celonis, KNIME and others.
• Data Governance: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security within the Celonis platform.
• Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation of data engineering processes, data models, and workflows.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize Celonis performance for data processing and analysis.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to provide data insights and support data-driven decision‑making.
