Job summary

BD is a leading global medical technology company recruiting for a Sales Management role in the Kolkata region. The position focuses on developing sales strategies, expanding the customer base, and managing distributor networks while maintaining market share across assigned territories.

The role requires building strong customer relationships, engaging key opinion leaders, and coordinating with clinical teams to align product offerings with market needs and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop/implement sales strategies and plans to achieve assigned sales target.
• Develop in-depth understanding of customers & identify sales opportunities.
• Sustain and add incremental business from existing customers as well as identifying new customers.
• Knowledge of tender management.
• Responsible for maintaining/gaining market share in the territories handled as per plans.
• Has broad understanding of internal organization resources, priorities, needs relating to the business operations and achievement of sales plan.
• Should possess detailed knowledge of sales processes and selling skills in medical devices to make effective sales call.
• Sales planning, Kol management, Dealer management, attending OT with physicians and nurses are some of the key requirements of this business.
• Submission of Sales report, Stock and Sales statement, Account performance report, doing daily calls, SFDC reporting, weekly work plan; timely sample report closure, monthly business closing, etc. are part of the job.
• Build Customer relationship

Location : Bhubaneswar , Orissa

Sales Management in Allocated Territory

• Develop/implement sales strategies and plans to achieve assigned sales target.

Build Customer relationship

*Proactively identify clinical needs among coverage physicians to increase level of awareness.

Product and Market knowledge

• Self -learning attitude, develop knowledge of product's features & benefits, product application and usage through live case observation.
• Understanding physiology and medical procedure knowledge through practical experience, training programs and learning from key end-users.

• Market intelligence, do SWOT analysis of competition and suggest strategies for growth.
• Track market trends, identify threats and opportunities and recommend and plans to address them
• Share new updates in market with colleagues and supervisors.
• Work closely with clinical team member to differentiate against competitive products.

Distributor Management

• Manage distributors to ensure proper distribution network in territory
• Maintain inventory at distributor level as per company policy.
• Ensure distributor follow's company's defined pricing strategy.
• Ensure distributor makes payment to company as per company policy and credit period.
• Ensure distributor provides sales/inventory data as per timelines defined by company.

Company Processes

• Sample allocation and expense utilization to optimize usage within the allocated budgets.

Timely submission of expenses and timely closure of sample reports.

Self Development

• Discuss areas of improvement with immediate supervisor & work on it.
• Active participation in company nominated training programs.
• Make efforts to raise bar to achieve high levels of performance and other in-house and on field training programs for enhancing competencies.
• Comfortable working 6 days a week.

Corporate Ethics & Compliance

• Achieve business excellence while ensuring BARD ’s values and guiding principles are followed.
• Conduct business within ethics and compliance guidelines.
• Develop relationship with customers on high ethical standards
